Those interested can check it out [Register or Login to view links], however, only if you live in the US due to restrictions MTV's video player places on Canada and the U.K..

Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Ultimate Edition Demo on PSN

250°
283w ago - Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Ultimate Edition Senior Development Director David Seeholzer announced that the Ultimate Edition Demo hit PSN today.

To quote: I'm excited to let you know that our single player demo for the Ultimate Edition is available over at the PlayStation Store right now! So go start your downloads...go ahead, I'll still be here when you get back ;-)

The demo contains 2 campaign missions and a tutorial that will get you accustomed to playing RA3 on your PS3. The first campaign mission comes from the Soviet campaign; mission "Krasna 45," the second mission of the Soviet campaign, which we recommend you play first.

You are sent in to reclaim a derelict soviet base in order to intercept an Empire of the Rising Sun force en route to Moscow.

The other mission is "Heidelberg,"the third mission in the Allied campaign, which we recommend you play second overall. In Heidelberg, the Soviets have been pushed back to their headquarters and players will need to turn the tide of the battle by sneaking into their base, forcing them all the way back to Siberia. Both these missions feature co-op gameplay with an A.I. co-commander who will support you as well as follow your orders.

As I mentioned...

PowerMad Review of Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for PS3

400°
286w ago - This is Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection, and if you're a casual or retro gamer you need to go pick this one up.

Instead of trying to make great graphics and releasing a entirely new game which no one is going to remember. Sega decided to put over 40 of the games from their most popular console.

You get a few arcade titles and some videos about the makings of SUGC. But besides that nothing is really new.

The game has trophies/achievements, and is a great addition to any gamers. If you grew up with a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, and want a few nostalgic moments, This is a game for you.

Since the PS3 controller has nearly over trice the buttons as the Sega genesis controller. You can actually program the controller to what buttons you want it to be.

Although I liked almost all the games on this disc, Like goldenaxe and Sonic the hedgehog. A few games like Flicky make the game worse amazingly. The best way I can explain it is if I offered to give to a milkshake, but I spit in it before hand. That would make the milkshake not as good even though I gave you more.

I really don't have much more to say about this game. It's meant to appeal to a certain type of gamer so...

Review: Killzone 2 for PS3 - The Ultimate Shooter Experience

100°
286w ago - After years in the making, an insurmountable amount of hype and negativity, positivity and pessimism, it's finally here. It's been a long and hard battle for Guerrilla Games (GG) these past few years.

Having to try and match up to the massive expectations of the community. Mine were also huge, so the question is, how has Killzone 2 fared against them?

To get a sense of what the sequel has achieved, I'll start with the original Killzone, a game that never quite grabbed me in the way I'd hoped. Sure, it had impressive visual and artistic appeal, a fairly decent story and likeable characters. But the gunplay (number of bullets needed to down enemies/aiming/controls), technical issues and pacing, left me wanting more and ultimately in my eyes designated it to being simply mediocre and ever shy of greatness.

Then along came Killzone Liberation, a PSP title that in many ways proved that GG had more to offer. It was a solid little third person shooter, but not quite enough to remove anxieties that the developers had what it took to make the sequel AAA.

Visuals

Naturally the first thing that will hit you about the game is the incredible presentation values and visuals. From the opening cut scene which is both powerful and bold, to the very first time you lay...

What Makes Red Alert 3 for PS3 the Ultimate Edition?

100°
289w ago - Senior Development Director David Seeholzer shared just what makes Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 for PS3 the Ultimate Edition today as follows:

Hi all, my name is David Seeholzer and I am the Senior Development Director for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Ultimate Edition. You might be asking yourself why we are calling it the 'Ultimate Edition' of Red Alert 3.

I wanted to share some insight into the cool extras and bonus content we are making exclusive for you guys, as well as shed a little light on the development process and our future plans for the title on PS3.

Check out the Red Alert 3 page on the PS Store for the Ultimate Edition Theme and our first sneak peak trailer of the PS3 version.

Red Alert found its humble beginnings over a decade ago on PC and has since seen 2 sequels, several expansion packs, and now, is making its debut on the PS3 console. Fortunately the power of the PS3 and the Blu-ray medium has afforded us some extra luxuries that weren't available to us previously.

The most noticeable difference you'll see in the Ultimate Edition on PS3 is an increase the visual quality of the game so that it truly stands up to HD Blu-ray definition. A perfect example of this is what you will see in...
