Video: New Tales of Vesperia PlayStation 3 Trailer Available

50°
268w ago - The Tales of Vesperia PS3 official [Register or Login to view links] has been updated with a new trailer for the game, featuring a few new anime scenes, Mystic Artes and some event scenes viewed from different angles.

This third trailer is a bit similar to the second trailer released for the Xbox 360 version of the game.

It contains a few scenes viewed from different angles, a few new anime scenes and some of the second Mystic Artes of the main cast (plus one of Patty's Mystic Arte, though it's still unclear if she will be getting a Mystic Arte similar to those of the characters' Xbox 360 Mystic Arte batch). There's also a Repede racing minigame shown.

Tales of Vesperia's PS3 port will be released on September 17, 2009 in Japan and US localization has yet to be announced.

TellTale Programmer: iPhone is Much More Powerful Than Wii

250°
273w ago - The Wii isn't the most powerful piece of hardware out there. The PS3 and Xbox 360 are more powerful, but Nintendo's machine is still putting up a fight.

Now Telltale Games has come into the picture and trashed the Wii's horsepower because of some complaints that the Wii version of Monkey Island has some framerate problems.

To quote: A Telltale Games programmer going by the name of Yare on the [Register or Login to view links] had this to say:

"The voices and textures are the way they are because we're limited to 40 megs for WiiWare titles. The PC versions of our games are usually 150+ megs, and most modern games range anywhere from 1-10 gigabytes or more. Talk to Nintendo about this one.

Frame rate issues will probably get sorted out eventually, but keep in mind that the Wii is just not a powerful console. An iPhone is much more powerful than a Wii, even."
