Dungeon Hunter: Alliance Hits PSN Today with PS Move Support

171w ago - Producer Jean Claude has announced that Dungeon Hunter: Alliance officially hits PSN today and includes PlayStation Move support too!

To quote: Hard to believe it's almost been a year since we unveiled Dungeon Hunter: Alliance at E3, but the wait is finally over. Today, the game is available for download on the PlayStation Network!

In all honesty, we might have been able to release it sooner, but we really wanted to make sure this was a polished game, not just a run-of-the-mill hack 'n slash.

While the storyline is based on the original Dungeon Hunter, we wanted to re-imagine everything else for Alliance. So we rebuilt our game systems, graphics and engine from the ground up for the PlayStation 3.





Balance of Power

Just getting the classes balanced to the point we felt every player will be happy filling in a unique role for their party required extensive playtesting. To this end, we included some great abilities to unlock as your character progresses. Each class has a total of seven ability tiers and players unlock a new tier every few levels, so there's always something to look forward to just around the corner.

Magic PKG v0.4 Beta PS3 App Updated with Partial English Support

173w ago - Today Alegoria has updated his Magic PKG PS3 homebrew application to version 0.4 which now includes partial English support among the changes detailed below followed by version 1.0.

To quote, roughly translated: Some days programming an operator of PKG, and since I have left something kinda cool, because what the public... I notice I am not a professional program and I do this with an altruistic and disinterested.

I must say it is only tested in Kmeaw 3.55, it also creates this pkg for CFW GeoHot have not tried. No need to have any program or folder keys, simply use the MagicPKG and go.

This program uses internally readself tools, unself, etc... but you need not have them.

PlayStation File System Libraries - NTFS Support Finally on PS3!

178w ago - Today an anonymous user has released PlayStation File System Libraries on PS3-Hacks (linked above) allowing NTFS support finally on PS3 for homebrew applications.

To quote: "I'm out of town leaving me PS3-less, so I'm unable to test this... This being a library, PlayStation File System Libraries - libpfsm, that you can use when building your homebrew projects, i.e.) Gaia Manager.

And the Gaia Manager source is included and comes pre-modified as an example adding NTFS (libpfsm) support. You just need to build it now and I'm sure someone'll do that real soon.

What does PlayStation File System Libraries feature?

  • Support for multiple simultaneously connected devices.
  • Hot swapping of devices.
  • Support for multiple partitions (with different FS).
  • NTFS support
    o Alternate data streams
    o Sparse files
    o File compression
    o B+ trees directory
  • FAT support
    o FAT12, FAT16, FAT32
    o Long file names (VFAT)

Writing to NTFS formatted volumes is not supported and not planned. Check the README for everything else.

181w ago - Today kmeaw has updated his PS3 LV2 patcher to version 8, which includes support for the Syscall36 payload alongside Waninkoko V2 PlayStation 3 Custom Firmware.

PS3 Media Center with MKV and NTFS Support WIP Details

181w ago - Today Logic-Sunrise reports that several members of Spanish site [Register or Login to view links] are currently working on a PS3 Media Center with MKV and NTFS support.

To quote, roughly translated: Our friends on the other side of the Pyrenees from the forum Elotrolado we have a project that many expect. This is a media center with support MKV and NTFS.

Authors at the head of the project are: AdriHades: Colabor and Beta testing, Chaky: Creator of the GUI, The_marioga: Creator of the file system and analysis of XML for configuration. Some features:
