Boot Hill Heroes Part One by Experimental Gamer ($7.49)

David Welch of Experimental Gamer launched his first game on PlayStation Mobile in April, an old school RPG set in a western setting, and wanted to share some exciting details about his game with you:

Imagine those classic RPGs of the 90s (Final Fantasy, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger) but reinvented as a gritty, spaghetti western with vicious outlaws, brave lawmen and the untamed wilderness. It's a journey through cow towns, Native American villages, ranches, mines, prisons, and into the soul of the American Wild West.

But what makes Boot Hill Heroes more than just being a Dragon Quest game based in the Wild West, is its fast-paced, real-time/turn-based hybrid combat. You must stay on your toes, as victory is determined not only by what actions are chosen but when they are executed!

Home runs, loot drops, couch tournaments, and epic quests dominate the gaming landscape this week in another varied lineup of new games coming to PlayStation.

PlayStation's critically-acclaimed baseball series arrives on PS4 with MLB 14 The Show. With unparalleled visual fidelity, San Diego Studio showcases its dedication and passion to the sport, thanks to achingly accurate stadiums and a broad array of new features.

Sony Goes Hands-on With Borderlands 2 on PlayStation Vita

50°
10w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill went hands-on with Borderlands 2 on PlayStation Vita today with details below.

To quote: The PlayStation social team recently had a chance to play a build of Borderlands 2 on PS Vita, and as the group's resident Borderlandophile, I immediately called dibs. What can I say about this game? It's Borderlands 2 on the Vita!

Controlling Borderlands 2 on PS Vita is a customizable affair: just go into options and remap to your heart's content. To change a control, tap the action or button (even the abilities assigned to the touch screen or rear touch pad) you want to change, then tap wherever you want the action to be.

By default, tapping different areas of Vita's rear touch pad yield a sprint or a melee attack, while a tap on the front screen tosses a grenade or activates your character-specific ability.

Shoulder buttons L and R still aim and shoot, though I did notice a useful new feature that takes advantage of PS Vita's built-in gyroscope: when you're aiming down the sight, moving PS Vita will adjust your aim.

Environments and character models are surprisingly detailed, and the game overall runs at a solid clip, generally hovering in the vicinity of 30 frames per second. Slicing dudes up as my main cyborg-man-alien-mystery-assassin-thing...
