PlayStation Home Resident Evil 5 Game Launching Event Coming

50°
290w ago - PlayStation Home Online Community Specialist Locust_Star made the following PlayStation Home RE5 announcement today via PS Blog:

We're sure you've checked out the awesome new Resident Evil 5 space, but in the event that you've been busy living under a rock (or dodging Helghast brass 24/7) there's no better time to log in to PlayStation Home and give the new space a spin than this Friday, March 13th.

Why? Cause this Friday is a ghoulish date sure to be made more deadly when you load up your brand new copy of Resident Evil 5, meet up with your fellow Home-boys and Home-girls in-world, launch into game, and start blasting the infected like it ain't no thang.

All you have to do is load Resident Evil 5 into your PlayStation 3 and then enter PlayStation Home. Once in-world, press Start > Game Launching > Set Up New Game > Resident Evil 5.

Remember, the maximum amount of players for any Resident Evil 5 campaign is two, so reserve a space for yourself and then go find a friend in the Resident Evil 5 game space to take the second slot. After you've done this, you'll be ready to descend into the waking nightmare that is Kijuju.

We'll be weaving in and out of the madness that is the Resident Evil 5 game space all day Friday, targeting you evil horde-slaying...

400°
291w ago - PlayStation Home Online Community Specialist Locust_Star detailed some PlayStation Home events scheduled for this week as follows:

First, we are holding a live Q&A session with John Diamonon and Seth Killian from Capcom today, March 4th.

This chat will focus on all things related to Street Fighter IV and will give a few lucky attendees the chance to win a more intimate follow-up Q&A (complete with an SFIV tips and tricks tutorial) in a private clubhouse at a later date.

To participate in the general Q&A, just bring your bad self over to the Gamer's Lounge today between the hours of 7:00 - 9:00pm PST (10:00 - 11:00pm EST) - and don't be afraid to show up dressed as your favorite [Register or Login to view links]!

To start, John and Seth will be "instance-jumping" throughout the event, so if you're in the Gamer's Lounge and you don't see them, cool out and sit tight! They'll be making the rounds.

These two gents will be tackling the most popular questions culled from the official PlayStation Home [Register or Login to view links] (under the usernames "HIERO9D3" and "clothhand"), but will hold a brief open chat afterwards....

Resident Evil 5 for Microsoft's XBox 360 Console is Leaked Online

400°
291w ago - Just like Halo Wars, the highly anticipated Resident Evil 5 has now been leaked online for the Microsoft XBox 360 console.

The game is set to release at retail on Friday the 13th March, so the leak is 10 days early, bad news for Capcom indeed.

The US release (which is region free) was leaked by the group "KFC", and again weighs in at about 7gb.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Developers/Publishers and Reviewers need to have tighter security when it comes to these games gettting leaked.

Feel free to share your comments below, or thoughts on it if you have gave it a try and don't mind admitting it.

Resident Evil 5 for PS3: Next-Gen Graphics, Last-Gen Game Play

500°
293w ago - By now, many of you have played the Resident Evil 5 Demo. It's apparent to most the demo has outstanding graphics; truly next generation graphics (current gen).

It's hard not to think why Capcom would deliver on outstanding graphics, but deliver a horrendous game play. Sure this was acceptable last generation for various reasons. Take a look at what I mean.

When Resident Evil first came out you could not run and shoot at the same time but back then the game play was forgiving because the monsters were slow and you can literally run around them. Just seeing Resident Evil was so amazing that you just wanted to play it and get out of Raccoon city.

Everyone is talking about how Resident Evil is not supposed to be a Run-And-Gun; Capcom is trying to keep it original. If Capcom was truly trying to keep it original, what's up with RE4&5? Why the major change with the camera and why the change of zombies?

If Capcom was trying to keep it original, they never would of change anything. They are trying to bring new people to the series, and by this, they will need a serious overhaul. They succeeded in graphics, unfortunately, only graphics and not game play.

It's 2009 and certain things in game play these days are not as forgivable. What I'm trying to point out is that...
