138w ago - PS3 hacker blazie151 has made available PS3 Rebug 3.55 and 3.41 Stealth Custom Firmware versions for PlayStation 3 CFW users, which has been rumored to be the initial cause of the recent PSN outage.
To quote: I (blazie151) made a stealthed version of Rebug 3.55 and 3.41. These versions include ce24 and ce27 for Console ID spoofing.
Keep in mind at this time FckPSN and ce27 are useless since FckPSN doesn't blank your Console ID on SP-INT. For that reason I included ce24 as well, so that you can blank your console id with charles.
This also has a stealthed version of rebug selector tested working. Its stealthed as the tetris demo, so if you have that game already, use my homebrew stealthing application and stealth it as something else.
The 3.41 version has a stealthed rebug selector...
From their site: Both Rebug 3.41.2 and 3.55.1 have all the features you have come to expect from a CFW/MFW plus Package Manager, Rebug Selector and all the debug features of the last Rebug release and none of the bugs.
There is also a new directory in dev_flash called rebug which has another directory in it packages. It is in this directory that you will find Rebug_Selector_1.2.pkg and BDEMU.pkg (3.55) or Hermes_V4C_Rebugged.pkg (3.41). These can be installed using the PS3 HDD option in Package Manager.
INSTALL: Rebug 3.41.2 and 3.55.1 can be installed over the same version OFW/CFW/MFW on any model PS3 through the XMB or Recovery Mode and Rebug 3.41.2 can be installed in Service...
To quote: Package Manager is a replacement for the standard ★ Install Package Files option under 'Game' in the XMB and allows for the install and deletion of .pkg files from 'dev_hdd0/packages', 'dev_usb/packages' and the standard ★ Install Package Files locations. In addition to this, your downloaded PSN content will appear under this menu instead of cluttering your 'Game' menu with uninstalled content.
1: Download the 'Package Manager 0.9 - Installer' package and install it on your PS3.
2: Run 'Package Manager 0.9 - Installer' and choose your option. (Rebug and OFW/CFW have slightly different icons in their RCO's. THIS IS THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO OPTIONS BELOW)
For Official Icon Set:
Press CROSS to INSTALL Package Manager 0.9
Press CIRCLE to UNINSTALL Package Manager 0.9
For Rebug Icon Set:
Press SQUARE to INSTALL Package Manager 0.9
Press TRIANGLE to UNINSTALL Package Manager 0.9
The 'dev_hdd0/packages' folder is created automaticly when you choose one of the above install...
To quote: 3.56 Version Spoofer does exactly what it says and can restore back to 3.55 if needed. It was never intended to allow PSN access but to stop the system from updating to 3.56 (I made it shortly after KaKaRoToKS had his false alarm).
Once the PS3 is spoofed it will stay spoofed until it is uninstalled.
