Video: Valkyria Chronicles II Hits PSP Today - Multiplayer Preview

190w ago - Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has shared a video preview of Valkyria Chronicles II, which hits PSP and PSPgo handhelds today online and via UMD.

To quote: Every time we post anything on Valkyria Chronicles, someone pipes up about how they never got past Chapter 7 in the first game.

That battle threw a late-level boss and a massive (but by no means the game's massive-est) tank at you - at the same time. It separated the men from the boys, if you will, and if you beat that chapter, you probably went on to beat the entire game.

SEGA has heard your pleas. In Valkyria Chronicles II - out today - you can bring a friend or 3 for the ride. I tried out the multiplayer recently, and it didn't behave how I'd expect; even though this is a turn-based Strategy RPG, the you and your colleagues move at the same time, in real time. SEGA's Aaron Webber tells us more:

Valkyria Chronicles II is out today, both on UMD and via the PlayStation Store.

500°
193w ago - While it's been awhile since we've reported on any PS2 news, today ffgriever has proved once again that the PlayStation 2 is not dead yet with his PS2PSXe Preview release - a homebrew PS1 Emulator for Sony's PS2 console!

According to the author, PS2PSXe should be able to run PS1 images from all devices (CD/DVD, HOST/LAN, HDD) on the PlayStation 2.

Download: PS2PSXe Preview

To quote: "Public PS2PSXe preview. Only command line version attached. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get current sources to work properly (I'm halfway with some major changes and it will take awhile to complete them). The one attached you can consider as "the last one that actually works", or simply rev168.

The emu supports both PAL and NTSC display, but I REALLY RECOMMEND leaving the default PAL output. Why? Well, it's the only mode I use. Many fixes were made to make PAL games show less glitches in PAL mode... When you switch the display to NTSC it most often will show more glitches.

The PAL scph7200 bios is recommended to run games. PAL games are recommended due to two simple reasons:
