Video: The Forest: Open-World Survival Horror Hitting PlayStation 4

3w ago - Endnight Games Co-Founder Anna Terekhova announced today that open-world survival horror game The Forest is hitting PlayStation 4 with a PS4 video trailer below!

To quote: Think back to your childhood days: playing outside, building a fort, skipping a stone on a lake... now add cannibals who want to tear you apart.

This is 'The Forest' and it's on its way to PS4.

There are no missions, no NPC's telling you what to do and no text in the middle of the screen telling you to 'Follow.' You know those parts in games where some character is yelling at you, telling you what to do and to do it faster? Those moments' drive us crazy.

When we're in a game world we want to choose what we do and how we do it. This has been the driving force behind all the decisions we make. What would give players the most freedom and options. We think the best stories in games are the ones that occur on their own, the ones you experience naturally in the world.

Something we've learned over the past 6 months is that people love to share their gameplay experiences, as well as watch other people's playthroughs. Using the PS4 Share feature makes this even easier for players.

People can show off the bases...

3w ago - Tripwire Interactive Vice President Alan Wilson announced today that the time is right for bringing Killing Floor 2 to PS4!

To quote: Hi everyone. Alan Wilson here. I'm the Vice President at Tripwire Interactive.

What I enjoy doing for the company is writing, game design and research, but I also get to do all the crap no-one else wants to do. Except right now, when I get to talk about a huge step for us - Killing Floor 2 on PS4.

Tripwire Interactive was formed about 10 years ago and we released the original Killing Floor on PC in 2009. Since then, we've released a ton of additional content for free, added in some fun DLC, sold nearly 3 million units of the game and about 10 million units of DLC.

In case you're not familiar with Killing Floor, the game is a fun, dark, sometimes humorous take on a first person survival horror. Its really perfect for a console outing. So, we've been asked why we never did console before.

We've actually talked to a number of console teams over the last few years. But there always seemed to be reasons not to do it. One of the biggest for us was our independence. There always used to be a push to have us publish through some big publisher.

And...

3w ago - Sony VP of Publisher Relations Adam Boyes shared a first look today at the PS-exclusive Mars Strike The Undying Mind Destiny Expansion I with details below.

To quote: From the minute we saw Destiny at Bungie, we loved it, and we thought it was the exact kind of game PlayStation fans would fall in love with... and you did.

You spent so much time trading in items to the Cryptarch, hiding in terror waiting for a Strike teammate to respawn, or just standing outside of a cave like maniacs firing blindly into the abyss.

We've played over 300 THOUSAND HOURS on EXODUS BLUE and THE DUST PALACE and have racked up more than 435 MILLION KILLS using the PlayStation exclusive exotic weapons, the Monte Carlo and Hawkmoon.

But that's just the beginning. With the launch of Destiny's first Expansion - The Dark Below - on Tuesday, we'll all have a whole new set of exclusive content including The 4th Horseman exotic shotgun and The Undying Mind strike on Mars. And I'll be able to earn a bunch of new gear that can get me past level 30.

We can't wait to join all of you in taking on these new fightsnow here's an exclusive sneak peek of the The Undying Mind.

PlayStation Exclusive Content are timed...

3w ago - Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli shared a PS4 video today showcasing the first gameplay of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End on PlayStation 4 below.

To quote: Saturday morning at the inaugural PlayStation Experience we unveiled the very first Uncharted 4: A Thief's End gameplay. In case you missed it, here's the full playthrough:

Although we are still in the pre-alpha stage of development, everything you see in the video is in-game and in real-time running at 1080p and a stable 30hz.

It's looking pretty spectacular already and we still have quite some time to optimize and refine our technology to make this the best looking and playing Uncharted game to date.

If you're wondering who called Nathan Drake "little brother" and exactly what that means, we'll be trickling out more details soon. Why is Drake on an island? What's he searching for?

3w ago - Hello Games' Alex Wiltshire shared a PS4 video today which showcases a new journey through No Man's Sky on PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: It was almost exactly one year ago that we announced No Man's Sky at VGX 2013.

So when Geoff Keighley gave us another amazing invitation to show it on The Game Awards 2014, of course we jumped.

It's kind of fitting that we should show you how the game looks today. In one year, we've done so much. The galaxy is fuller of life and consequence. We constantly find ourselves facing unexpected situations, and surrounded by unfamiliar forms.

So here's a tiny window into it: a new No Man's Sky trailer, exclusively unveiled at The Game Awards tonight.

We wanted to take you on a journey to demonstrate five ways you'll travel through No Man's Sky's infinite worlds. From hearing a distress signal, we find ourselves spanning the galaxy. It's just one story that you could find yourself writing as you play. There are so many more.

That's not all for No Man's Sky. Watch out for more from us over the weekend at PlayStation Experience, including A Night Under No Man's Sky tomorrow night.
