100w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton has outlined the PlayStation Plus October 2012 content for subscribers today.

Below are all the details, to quote: With Autumn well and truly upon us, what better way to shrug off the gathering gloom than by looking forward to a great month of PlayStation Plus content?

And, I hope you agree, it is indeed something of a whopper, with two massive blockbuster games coming to your Instant Game Collection, along with a weird and wonderful PSN platformer from [Register or Login to view links].

First things first, as of tomorrow Plus members get free access to Hell Yeah! Wrath of Dead Rabbit. As should be made evident by the trailer below, it's an absolutely insane side-scroller that sees you step into the shoes of a demonic rabbit hell-bent on vengeance after pictures of him in the shower make it onto the internet. It's been picking up [Register or Login to view links] - make sure you check it out.

Next up, on 10th October, you can get your hands on [Register or Login to view links]'s lunatic shooter Bulletstorm. [Register or Login to view links], it's a larger-than-life...

Sony Savings: Buy $100 on PSN in October, Get $20 PSN Credit

100°
100w ago - Sony Digital Distribution Senior Manager Pierre Gravereau has announced news of some PlayStation Network savings today - those who buy $100 on PSN in October will receive $20 in PSN credit.

All of the offer details are below, to quote: It's officially October, and we have a great new promotion for you to get the most out of your PlayStation gaming experience this month.

If you spend $100 or more on the PlayStation Store in October, we'll give you a $20 credit to your wallet to spend in November!

This is a store-wide promotion, so anything you purchase using your wallet will count towards the $100 total. One caveat: the credit back is limited to the first $100 you spend.

With great new programs like PSN Day 1 Digital, offering day-and-date digital PS3 games on the same day they hit retail, there are plenty of ways to participate in the "Buy $100, Get $20" promotion.

As a reminder, PlayStation Plus members receive an additional 10% discount on a number of titles in the line-up when they pre-order. Additionally, if you've already pre-ordered one of the awesome titles in the PSN Day 1 Digital program, the money you've spent on those will count toward your $100 for October. Not bad, eh?

Since the promotion includes anything purchased with your wallet...

Naughty Bear Panic in Paradise Hits PSN on October 9th, 2012

50°
100w ago - Today Behaviour Creative Director Ashley Pannell has announced that Naughty Bear Panic in Paradise will be hitting PSN on October 9, 2012.

Below are the details, to quote: October is an exciting time, the leaves are falling, Halloween is coming... and 505 games is bringing Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise to PS3! It seems an appropriate season to launch its stuffing-filled blend of stealth and machete-wielding fun to PSN.

The plot is simple - when all the other bears go on holiday to the fabled Paradise Island resort, they forget to invite Naughty Bear. This is a decision they seriously regret after he finds out about their plans and sets out to get his revenge.

Naughty Bear Panic in Paradise has been built using a fully revamped version of our internal engine. A new lighting and shadow system brings a new mood and feel to the world, and allows for a dramatically increased number of bears on screen. It has also allowed us to create much larger levels and, despite all these improvements, run at a smooth framerate.

Combat is fun, furious and downright naughty, featuring a new combo system that allows you to chain different attacks. There are five weapon classes: Fist weapons, Pointy, Slash, Bash, and Smash, all with their own attack animations.

There are hundreds...
