Video: TowerFall Ascension PS4 is Out Today on PlayStation 4

5w ago - Matt Makes Games Inc Indie Game Developer Matt Thorson announced that TowerFall Ascension PS4 is out today on PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: Today's the day! TowerFall Ascension is finally launching on PS4. TowerFall is an archery platformer featuring intense local multiplayer battles and a dynamic solo - or co-op - Quest mode. Grab your friends and pack onto your couch for a night of close calls, surprise victories, and hilarious missteps.

The reviews began rolling in a few days ago, and I'm absolutely floored by the response. I'm not usually one to put a lot of stock in those dubious numbers emblazoned in bold at the bottom of articles, but I can't deny it feels good to see the 9.5′s.

Making TowerFall has been the most rewarding experience of my life. When I put love into the game, I see it returned to me tenfold by the TowerFall community, and it only appears to be growing.

I also had the privilege of working with some incredibly talented, capable, and pleasant people. I want to thank the entire team by name. Kevin Regamey and Jeff Tangsoc (sound design), Pedro Medeiros (pixel art), Amora Bettany (character design and concept art), Alec Holowka (music), and Kert Gartner (trailers).

6w ago - Honeyslug Designer and Co-Founder Ricky Haggett shared a new video trailer today showcasing Hohokum, including a Q&A with Tycho and Ben Benjamin below.

To quote: Hey folks! We're back this week to unveil a new trailer for Fun Fair and chat with two of the musicians from Ghostly International who we're collaborating with on the Hohokum soundtrack - super exciting stuff!

In our last post, Dick talked about some of the history behind Fun Fair, dating back to 2011 when we showed Hohokum for the first time. Now we have a new trailer for Fun Fair, accompanied by a track from Ben Benjamin Behold the mischief of the Balloon Seller!

Next up, we have Scott Hansen (Tycho) and Ben Benjamin here to talk about their work on the game. Both have composed original music for Hohokum and it's AMAZING. Tycho's track 'L' - from his new album 'Awake' - is the backdrop for Fun Fair in the game and was featured in our announcement trailer, which you can see here. 'Awake' is out on March 18th and you can pre-order it here - its soooooo good!

A collaboration between a record label like Ghostly and a game like Hohokum is quite unusual - how did it come about? What made you want to be involved?

Scott Hansen: I met with you, Ricky, and you showed me some early test versions of the...

Sony Details the 19 Classes of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

100°
6w ago - Square Enix Community Project Manager Hergen Thaens detailed the 19 classes of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for PS4 fans today.

To quote: Welcome to another update on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - the biggest one so far. A lot of you have probably played the first beta phase from February 22nd to March 3rd - barely enough time to get your hands on one or two classes in a single city, right? Well then, let's introduce you to the others!

You're free to start in any of the three cities: Gridania, Ul'dah, or Limsa Lominsa. Most of you will want to get used to the game first, so you can play solo and get acquainted with everything.

Up until level 15, you've got tons of local quests and adventures that await you - and from level 15 onwards, the whole world opens up to you as you get access to the airship and the other cities.

If you want to play with your friends, you simply have to choose classes with the same starting cities, and you can group up right away.

Once you've acquired a class, you can change to it at any given time (outside of combat and dungeons) by simply equipping the weapon associated with it. It's that simple!

So, let's get started, shall we?

Gridania, One with the Forest

Gridania lies in the...
