The Danish game developers that make up Playdead bring their monochromatic 2D side-scrolling puzzler Limbo to PSN this week.
Its game mechanics thrive on "trial and death," so expect to be treated to a gruesome untimely death after failing its addictive puzzles. Who knew saving your little sister could be such a burden?
Sega brings Captain America into the third dimension with Captain America: Super Soldier on PS3 in 3D.
You play as Ben McCall in Ubisoft's vision of the Wild West hunting down the Cartel in a lawless Los Angeles in Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
PSone Japan imports return, and minis dishes out 10 unique digital titles for your PSP and PS3.
Call of Juarez: The Cartel - When a Mexican drug cartel bombs a U.S. law enforcement agency, the U.S. government puts together a special task force to bring them down.
You can explore each character's dedicated storyline, choosing to play as Ben McCall, a brutal LAPD cop and descendant of Ray McCall; Eddie Guerra, a DEA agent who gambles compulsively; or gangbanger-turned-FBI agent Kim Evans....

125w ago - Activision's Social Media Manager Dan Amrich has announced today that the Call of Duty: Black Ops Annihilation maps will be hitting PS3 on July 28, 2011.
To quote: First Strike was fun. Escalation rocked. But Call of Duty: Black Ops fans want more - they crave new battlegrounds and new experiences.
Black Ops developer Treyarch knows this, so they've been busy creating another fresh batch of DLC maps: Annihilation. The newest add-on content will be ready for download from the PlayStation Store starting Thursday, July 28th.
Annihilation features four new standard multiplayer arenas - Silo, Hangar 18, Drive-In and Hazard - and the deadly jungle Zombies experience, Shangri-La. "The goals we set were about quality and variety," says Treyarch's Online Director, Dan Bunting. "We wanted to make everything feel unique and distinct."
Annihilation delivers on those goals with five all-new environments:
Drive-In: This one-time American movie paradise once showed war movies; now it's the location for one. The holes in the screen have been filled with snipers. The popcorn is stale, but they're still serving up hot lead in the concession stand.

126w ago - SCEE's Ross McGrath is here with this weeks European PlayStation Store updates today, as follows:
Dead Nation is now available to try before you buy, in case you were still on the fence, and we've also got a demo for PixelJunk Shooter 2, so you can now give that a whirl with no money down.
There's also some pretty awesome DLC coming today in the form of a new case for LA Noire, and the 'anticipated for as long as I can remember and incredibly awesome' Final Fantasy VII character costumes for LBP2!
A quiet one this week then, sorry about that. Hopefully there are some bits and pieces for you here and now, and if not you can save your pennies for the release of Limbo on the 20th.
I'll be around for comments from tomorrow morning as I'm working on some promotions for you lovely people this afternoon, but since it's a quiet week for you all, hand on heart I'll make time to respond to lots of your questions. See you later!
