293w ago - Unless you are living under a rock or in denial, you can't really avoid the videos or at least comments from gamers about the GTA IV videos on message boards across the net.
Well it seems a number of gamers aren't overly happy with a number of things in GTA IV. Whilst it is easy to complain about the game prior to playing it (which is a tad unfair) things like floating cars are there for all to see.
Sandbox games of this nature are known to have glitches and bugs due to their sheer size and complexity, and it appears that GTA IV is no exception. Sadly the QA team let floating cars pass, to the annoyance of a number of gamers who were expecting a more polished game.
We feel that if things like this are going to affect your enjoyment of the game, then perhaps you should find another hobby. There are many great games that have glitches, but still are enjoyable and... great!
293w ago - There are just a little over five days left until the release of GTA IV, and this morning we bring you a recap.
Firstly, this week IGN is running a "GTA IV week", where new content is posted everyday. Yesterday we already reported on the interview with the game's Art Director, Aaron Garbut. Last night they published an article detailing four of the game's multiplayer modes - covering Free Mode, Team Mafiya Work, Team Car Jack City and Turf War.
Yesterday we reported on the US edition of OXM giving the game a final score of 9.5/10. Today we have news on another Xbox magazine, Xbox World 360(UK), who gave the game a score of 98%, saying the game has an "oscar-worthy dialogue", "unfeasibly rich gameworld" and "inspiring mission design".
Contrary to what many expected, it seems as though the PlayStation 3 version is selling more than the Xbox 360 version at certain large retailers. UK retailer ASDA is reporting that the PS3 version is selling three times more than its rival - the Xbox 360.
Over in Australia, EB Games is reporting that while their pre-sales figures show both versions selling fairly close, the PS3 version is in the lead. Another retailer in that country, Gametraders, is saying the PS3 version is selling double than the Xbox 360.
293w ago - Yesterday, I talked about some games that I'll be buying for the 360, that I feel may be a bit overlooked with all of the GTA IV and Gears of War 2 Hype. Today, I want to bring to light three PS3 games that I believe are being overlooked with all of the hype surrounding MGS 4 and GTA IV.
While there's a dearth of PS3 exclusives right now, this fall, Sony is going to be churning out exclusives in their attempt to capture the hearts and minds before Christmas. Let's take a look at three exclusives that should be at the front of the hype train, but are riding in the caboose.

294w ago - Rockstar co-founder Sam Houser doesn't know if the next Grand Theft Auto title after IV will properly fit onto the 360's standard-sized discs.
"One of the problems with the 360, and it affects games like Grand Theft Auto if you think about how much content we put in the actual machine, is the fact that they don't have a significantly larger storage medium than the previous systems. It's a slightly bigger DVD disc," Houser told 1up.
Then take into account that not all Xbox 360s come with a hard drive. It's here that things get super sticky. "The 360 is going to have to get 'round this issue we're talking about...hopefully, they're going to adopt one of those in the next year or so, because it's going to become more of an issue. If we're filling up the disc right now, where are we going? It's not like our games are going to get any smaller."
The delay heard round the world was mostly credited to technical issues during IV's development. Some said the 360 didn't have enough space to hold the game; others heard that the PS3 version was having big problems of its own. Whatever the case, Houser isn't telling. "Both machines are absolutely fantastic, but they both come with strengths and weaknesses. The strength of the 360 is a very, very accessible, familiar, effective environment to work...
294w ago - Rockstar sent out an email this evening to all those in the UK scheduled to receive their copies of GTA IV this week, asking them to provide information on which platform they'd prefer to play on and their online IDs.
The email's published in full below:
The good news is we are planning to send out your copy of GTA IV tomorrow, Wednesday 23rd April, to be with you first thing on Thursday 24th, so the wait is almost over.
In order for us to do that, could you:
- Let us know which format you would prefer to receive the game on?
- Let us know your Gamertag, if the answer to the above is Xbox 360 or your PSN On Line ID if the answer is PS3.
Why we need to know.
Xbox 360 Version
We need your Gamertag because Microsoft will be helping Rockstar Games monitor access to the online modes up to release date. Because of this, we will need to add your Gamertag to the approved list of gamers who can play online prior to release.
In addition to supplying this information, if you do intend to go online before April 29th, you will need to change a couple of the basic settings on your Xbox 360 and keep these settings like this till the game comes out, otherwise other people will be able to see your achievements...
