226w ago - Today Sony has updated Life with PlayStation by adding a completely new channel titled 'World Heritage' to it.
It's a simple update, as the channel includes information from various Web sites (including Wikipedia) from multiple areas around the world.
To quote: If you leave your controller for a long enough time, it automatically begins spinning the globe (like the other channels) and displays hi-res pictures from the areas you're hovering above about.
If you would like to see a picture from a designated area, then you can hover the country, hit 'X' and then press the 'start' button.
An overall nice addition to the free application, allowing many Life with PlayStation fans to do even more while helping the common good.
227w ago - Today Psyonix Studios Programmer Corey Davis has announced that Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars has received another free update, to quote:
Psyonix Studios is pleased to announce the release of the latest patch for our PS3/PSN game, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars!
The game, if you're not familiar, focuses on exciting car-vs-car soccer gameplay. Rocket around (or above!) the field, crash into the ball to shoot spectacular goals, or even destroy the opposing team's cars if you're going fast enough!
The highlights of this update include:
• It's free!
• Two brand new maps: "Galleon", set aboard a pirate ship at night, and "Stadium", based on a sprawling European-style football field (cheering fans included!)
• Many improvements to the handling of lag and servers with slow internet connections in general
• Two new skins for each car, 14 in total
• Updates to our unique replay editor so you can more easily record your favorite highlights and upload them directly to YouTube!
• Tons of bug fixes and general improvements

228w ago - There is a lot of noise at the Infinity Ward Web site (linked above). This is due to some "funny" hacks (yeah, the owners of such files call them like that) that can be used in a very easily way in the on-line game.
Now, there's a bunch of videos in the Web that show you how to that and even give you all the files you need. Obviously this is upsetting a lot of people (including me) who like to play by the games rules.
Although it is annoying for sure, we can't expect a patch to be released any day soon and that's because of the next release "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2" so we just have to sit and wait.
By the way, a good friend of mine sees these "funny" hacks as part of a big conspiracy so people move to the MW2 and leave the old CoD4, but I'm finding it hard to believe this crazy idea, again, we just have to sit and wait.
230w ago - Following up on the recent revelation that its re-release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will hit Xbox 360 on July 29, Capcom today announced that PlayStation 3 edition of the downloadable fighter won't arrive until August 13- two weeks and one day later.
To quote: No reason was provided for the later release, though we're checking in for details.
Based on the Dreamcast edition of Capcom's cult classic crossover fighter, and enhanced with online play and visual options by Backbone, MvC2 will sell for $15.
