167w ago - Today garyopa at PSX-Scene.com (linked above) reports that Sony appears to be targeting the PS JailBreak, PSFreedom and PSGroove related PS3 hacks and has shared numerous court documents for those interested.
From one of the documents, to quote: "Similarly targeted document subpoenas or deposition notices to any other third party who SCEA learns may be involved in the distribution or sale of the PS Jailbreak software, known as, for example, PSGroove, OpenPSJailbreak, and PSFreedom, or who may have knowledge of the distribution or sale of this illicit software."
PS3 hacker Mathieulh is also mentioned in one of the documents as recently proclaiming to be one of 20 individuals behind PSGroove, to quote: "Mathieu Hervais told BBC News he was one of about 20 hackers involved in PSGroove's development."

167w ago - While PSN cards have been available at retailers for some time now, JoyStiq.com (linked above) reports today that it appears Sony is now offering PlayStation Plus cards at Target as well.
To quote: "You'll soon have an easy way to give the gift of Hulu Plus eligibility and discounts on random PSN games.
Tipster BlindNoir photographed a PlayStation Plus access card found at a Target store, redeemable for one year of membership to the premium service.
Plans for these cards were first (casually) revealed by Sony's Susan Panico in June.
Of course, you could just buy a PSN retail card and use that to pay for a Plus membership (or anything else), but this move gives the fledgling PlayStation Plus more visibility during the holiday shopping season."
I would remember the feelings I had as I traversed the dark, gloomy landscape and recall the wonderful music that would create an atmosphere quite unlike any other game of the time.
For me, Castlevania was always about lone warrior battling supernatural creatures with a whip. This was the core idea that when you strip away all the layers, is what remains true for the series even now. Of course, back then, games were far simpler and story lines, characters, and the rest were often secondary to the all-important gameplay.
Over the years, games have become more sophisticated and players have wanted deeper experiences and more far-reaching gameplay mechanics. Expectations for memorable characters and realistic environments often mean it's much more difficult to find the core of a game and truly understand where something is coming from.
169w ago - EA Community Manager Matthew Pruitt has shared a video trailer today of Medal of Honor for PS3 dubbed High Value Target.
To quote: Here at EA, we want to make sure our PlayStation 3 fans know that we're listening.
That's why we we've created The MOH Experience, a series of uncut and unedited single-player and multiplayer videos put together to show our audience what they can expect when Medal of Honor launches on October 12th.
In this third installment, titled "High Value Target," we're giving you a look at Medal of Honor's multiplayer.
The mode being played in the video is called Combat Mission. Coalition forces are tasked with clearing five consecutive objectives to win and the insurgents must stop them at any cost.
As objectives are cleared, new areas of the map open up to reveal what the coalition must do next. The team health meter represents coalition reinforcements. If it's depleted before the current objective is cleared, the match ends and coalition forces are stopped.
You may have also noticed the Bradley Fighting Vehicles as well. It can seat both a driver and gunner. This particular map requires that...
