Microsoft Begins a New Wave of XBox Live Bans on Modded 360s

305w ago - As mcdevitt1985 has reported (linked above) along with some users from our own XBox 360 Forum HERE, it appears Microsoft is on another XBox Live ban rampage.

According to reports, today they have issued a new wave of bans against XBox 360 consoles with modified DVD firmware. That being said, it's recommended to stay off XBL for the time being if you have a modified system until further details are available.

To quote: Dunno if its a massive wave or not, but my console was literally just banned from live within the hour.

If anyone else gets banned let me know please. iXtreme 1.4 and all games were burned right and stealthed.

Hi all, I'll be updating this thread regularly today with information about the beta and where keys can be applied for in this thread only. I won't be responding to any others, simply because there are so many of them.

How do I join the beta?

Several thousand invitations are in the process of being sent out today by email. If you do not receive an email from SCE today, you will also be able to sign up over the next 5 days on a variety of popular gaming sites. I cannot name the sites here, however the LittleBigPlanet News Site will be giving out more details tomorrow. If any further places to sign up are made available I'll update this thread again.

What if I don't get a key, I really want to play!?

This beta is being released in order to test element of the online game. As such it should not be seen as a demo, a trial or anything more than helping us to ensure that the server architecture is running. If you don't get a key you...
 

SOCOM: Confrontation BETA Begins September 1

319w ago - The SOCOM team today announced that the public Confrontation BETA test, briefly mentioned back in June, will go live on September 1. There's going to be two ways to get in on the action.

Firstly, if you pre-order the game at GameStop – online or at retail, you'll be able to access the BETA on day one. Additionally, you can share your BETA access code with up to two friends.

Another ticket into the BETA will be given to Qore viewers. Subscribers of the service and those who purchase the June issue will be able to download the SOCOM: Confrontation public beta from within Qore on September 8 through the 30th.

Keep in mind that all of the above information applies to North American residents only. Sony plans to announce public BETA details for other regions at a later date.
