5w ago - Sony European Brand Manager Penrose Tackie announced today that GT Academy 2013 officially kicks off in July with a Gran Turismo 6 demo!

To quote: Buckle up, Gran Turismo fans - our annual GT Academy competition will return for a fifth season this year, and it's set to be the biggest yet, with more countries than ever before participating.

The online gaming element of the competition gets under starter's orders this July via a demo of the just-announced Gran Turismo 6 exclusively on PlayStation 3.

Since it began in 2008, the acclaimed virtual-to-reality competition has attracted over two million entries, with gamers and motor sport fans battling it out in Gran Turismo for the chance to become real Nissan racing drivers. Six former winners of the competition, which now runs in Europe, the USA, Germany, Russia, the Middle East and South Africa, are now Nismo Athletes competing in top-level motor sport on behalf of Nissan.

7w ago - Insomniac Games Community Lead James Stevenson shared a new Fuse trailer confirming that the demo lights up PSN on Tuesday.

Below are the details, to quote: We've been working on Fuse, our first new console game IP since Resistance: Fall of Man, for several years now. The wait is almost over - Fuse launches May 28th on PlayStation 3. For an early taste of Fuse, grab the demo - it launches on PSN next Tuesday.

The demo will allow you to experience lethal teamwork with up to three friends online (or 2-player split-screen). Overstrike 9 has tracked the stolen Fuse source to a remote Raven base in Pakistan's snowy Karakoram Mountains.

The team must stop rogue group Raven from carrying out its horrific plan to form a new world order. The section of the demo comes from around the halfway point of the game, so we've powered up the four characters a bit to give you a sample of all their capabilities (and you can level them up further!)

Now, some of you may be asking, what is this game? We'd like to say Fuse is what you'd get if you took the dry humor and lethal teamwork from Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and combined it with the alien weaponry from District 9.

7w ago - Following up on the previous updates, today CapetLeVrai shared a video demonstrating PSP game ISOs running on Sony PS3 Firmware 4.41 with details below.

To quote (via Wololo): You might remember the psp2ps3 tools, and all the excitement a few weeks ago around a recent hack breakthrough that allows people to run psp isos (and, potentially, homebrews) on a hacked PS3, by “camouflaging” the game inside a PSP Mini.

Although people believed this trick was reserved to PS3s running a Custom Firmware, this might become an incorrect statement very soon…

I was contacted by scene member CapetLeVrai who apparently found a way to run those PSP ISOs on a non hacked PS3 running the latest official firmware 4.41.
