1w ago - 10tons Ltd PR Coordinator Jaakko Maaniemi announced today that Crimsonland is launching this August 19th on PS Vita with details below.

To quote: Hi all! It's awesome to return from summer holidays to announce [Register or Login to view links] for PS Vita. It's launching August 19th, and will be cross buy with the PS4 version. A free trial will be available as well.

As some of you may know, the Crimsonland at hand is a remastered version of the first game 10tons ever made back in 2003. It's definitely a genre cult classic, and the remastered game was launched for PS4 in July.

A whole lot of people really appreciated how gratifying and addictive old school top down dual stick arena shooter can be even in this day and age. We also got surprisingly numerous calls for a Vita version, and we're definitely happy to deliver.

Crimsonland is a simple game. You're a space marine guy, and a huge horde of monsters is coming at you. Shoot them all, and don't die! You've got a 60-mission campaign to clear, but that's just the beginning.

Completing the missions merely unlocks the weapons and perks you need in the five endless Survival modes, where you'll face an endless onslaught and a sure...

PIX the CAT Announced for PS4 and PS Vita by Pastagames

50°
1w ago - Pastagames Final Boss Fabien Delpiano announced today that PIX the CAT is coming to PS4 and PS Vita consoles.

Below are the details, to quote: Hi everyone! PIX the CAT is coming to PS4 and PS Vita with a mission: to make your thumbs sore! After Pix'n Love - Rush (PS Minis), the infamous blue cat is back for an intense scoring arcade game loaded with surprises.

Writing these words means the world to us. It means that the game we've been making for the last three years is coming out!

Our strategy at Pastagames is simple: gather XP and gold by making cool games for others (Rayman Jungle Run, Panzer Bimbo, AR Rescue...) then spend it all on our homegrown productions. We empty the bank account and start the cycle over.

PIX the CAT is the game that saw the most cycles. For the first time in years, we're playing it solo! No publishing or editing to hold us back from our many kinks and obsessions! Naturally, we've ended up being obsessed and kinky about everything, even the new Pastagames website. But most of all about getting players sucked into the game from head to toe.

The Arcade gameplay comes from our initial desire to build a hectic 2D level-based scoring game that offers constant flow without any kind of scrolling. We wanted the blue cat to ride the maze and...

1w ago - Double Eleven Limited Chief Operating Officer Mark South announced today that Nom Nom Galaxy is setting a course for PS4 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: We're delighted to let you all know that Nom Nom Galaxy is coming to PS4 and PS Vita!

Our relationship with Q-Games has previously brought [Register or Login to view links], and more recently [Register or Login to view links] to PlayStation Store, building on some great titles from the past.

Nom Nom Galaxy, however, is a new title that we are developing together with Q-Games in Japan as a co-development.

We've always been impressed with Q's ability to generate very unique worlds and play mechanics, and we believe NNG is the pinnacle of their efforts!

It's a genre melter that's a co-op multiplayer game about building, expanding and maintaining an interstellar soup factory with your friends. It blends elements of tower defense, sandbox exploration, co-op platforming, resource management and construction, all set in a unique living eco-system.

It's...

Video: Sony Goes Hands-on with Freedom Wars on PS Vita

50°
2w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill went hands-on today sharing a PS Vita video showcasing Freedom Wars on PlayStation Vita below.

To quote: PS Vita exclusive Freedom Wars comes courtesy of Japan Studio, Dimps, and Shift, and places you into the unfortunate shoes of a prisoner facing a one million year sentence.

It's not all bad news, though! By battling fearsome Abductors and rescuing citizens, your captors will generously reduce the length of your imprisonment - a few years at a time.

Featuring four-player local co-op (via an ad-hoc wireless connection, with vacant slots filled by computer-controlled companions), Freedom Wars rewards coordinated cooperative play.

One player can use a grappling hook to pull an enemy to the ground, while another dashes in to rescue an innocent trapped within the beast's chest.

While transporting a civilian to safety, you'll rely on the protection of your teammates to keep you and your cargo alive. Alternatively, eight player (4v4) competitive play is an option when playing via the magic of the internet.

I recently went hands-on with Freedom Wars, along with my pals Ken, Kumi and Jake, the results of which you can see at the top...

Assault Android Cactus on PS4 and PS Vita: 8 Ways to Play

50°
2w ago - Witch Beam Artist / Programmer Tim Dawson announced today that Assault Android Cactus is hitting PS4 and PS Vita with 8 ways to play!

To quote: Hello! I'm Tim, the coder and art guy of Witch Beam, a three-person team making Assault Android Cactus which is heading to PS4 and PS Vita later this year.

Assault Android Cactus is an intense arena shooter in the arcade tradition where each character has an unlimited primary weapon that powers up over the course of the level and a sub weapon that works on a cool down.

Where a shmup might have different ships, we have different androids, and we had a lot of fun designing our eight characters and drawing on our favorite arcade influences to give them each their own feel and keep them fun to play.

Cactus, our games namesake, sports the classic vulcan style machine gun. Fast, precise, and - once it's leveled up - able to tear apart pretty much anything. Her secondary weapon is the flamethrower, a short range, high-damage weapon that burns through packs of enemies and puts big dents in boss health bars.

Holly's Seeker uses homing bullets - they lack punch but are easy to use and backed up by a slow traveling but destructive Cannonball to smash through enemy lines. Lemon uses the classic Spreadshot, when upgraded it has the...
