10w ago - Following up on his previous revisions, ReActPSN has now been updated to version 3.16 from PlayStation 3 developer reactpsn (originally by Chinese developer ccregame) which now includes PS3 CFW 4.65 Custom Firmware support and more as outlined below.

ReActPSN v3.16 Changelog:

  • Added support CFW4.65.
  • Only this tool has fixed random black screen bug when play external directoy games.

ReActPSN V3.16 Quick Start Guide:

Basic function: Create aa user and run reActPSN to generate PSN license from USB/exdata.
Button controls: [X] = pressing and holding X button for 6 seconds when launching reActPSN.
[L1] Reinstall RAPs&EDATs from USB0/exdata or USB1/exdata folder.
[L2] Backup RAPs&EDATs to USB/reActPSN/pubPSN/rapxxxedatxxx.zip.
[R1] Backup reg&rif&edat to USB/reActPSN/BKxxxx.zip.

26w ago - Following up on his previous updates, today PlayStation 3 developer Aldo Vargas (aka Aldostools) made available IrisMAN v3.04 which includes PS3 4.60 CFW CEX support and more followed by v3.05 with bugfixes and more details below.

  • Added support for 4.60 CEX (Thanks to smhabib for the payloads + fix + source code)
  • Added mamba for 4.50 DEX (Thanks to Rancid-O for port & files)
  • Added offset for PSID/IDPS on 4.60 CEX (Thanks to Orion90 for offsets & ErMaK86 for the LV2 dump)
  • Improved the speed and provide more feedback of progress on Build ISO function

37w ago - Today PlayStation 3 developer Storm Shadow (aka zadow28) released an IDA Professional PS3 SPU Debugger IDA PRO (Integrated Anergistic Support) Plugin with a guide available HERE, as follows:

To quote: I had some spare time this weekend, and i have been reading up on my Python. So i set the goal for adding debugging support for SPU proccesor in ida, since the procs. is written in Python.

Download the package at the bottom (linked above) and overwrite the files in ida dir.

You can edit the line in gdb_arch.cfg if you dont have ida in c:\ida

You have to have Python installed correctly. See techbliss.org/threads/setting-up-ida-with-pyside-and-pyqt-it-makes-big-difference.211/ for help (there are finished packages there somewhere).
