9w ago - Creator Ed Key announced that Proteus is coming to PS3 and PS Vita soon, and has detailed some new features in the game below.
To quote: You drift towards a pastel island where everything sings as you pass. The sky begins to darken and something in the distance catches your eye...
I'm Ed Key, one of the developers of Proteus along with composer David Kanaga. Proteus came out for the PC and Mac in January 2013 and had a fantastic reception from Edge, Eurogamer, IGN and many more.
For something that started out as a weird experimental project between me and David, this was pretty mind-blowing, and it's even crazier to now have the chance to bring it to PS3 and PS Vita with some brand new features that take advantage of Sony's hardware.
Proteus is something like a constantly-remixing ambient album in the form of an immersive island world. It's all about a particular feeling of wandering through nature alone, taking it in and getting pleasantly lost.
Maybe it's a little bit about magic and mortality too. Don't expect tasks and scores and checklists - perhaps Proteus lurks somewhere on the shady fringes of what it means to be a game.
With the PS Vita and PS3 versions, we've been adding new ways to engage with...
14w ago - NIS America Marketing Coordinator David Alonzo announced that Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness will hit PS3 on October 8th in North America and has outlined the new features in a video below.
To quote: Hey, doods! Once again, it's David from NIS America with news on the latest in our fan-favorite, strategy-RPG series, Disgaea. Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness is set to launch for PS3 on October 8th in North America.
Also, for the first 30 days from the launch of Disgaea D2, a costume DLC pack for Laharl, Etna, and Flonne will be available as a free download on PlayStation Store! Isn't that something? Now, without further ado, let's get into all the juicy new details of Disgaea D2.
Disgaea D2 is a brand-new entry in the Disgaea series that takes place immediately after the first one, with Laharl being Overlord of the Netherworld. Unfortunately, no one else has gotten the memo, so he sets out on a quest with Etna and Flonne to let the denizens of the Netherworld know who's boss.
Along the way, he meets a few rebel demons that found out he's Overlord and aren't too happy about it, along with other colorful characters - including a girl claiming to be his sister!
And if trying to get some respect wasn't a dangerous enough endeavor, Laharl discovers that bigger...
36w ago - Today Sony Designer Vincent Napoli at Santa Monica has shared a video announcing that the God of War: Ascension update brings new PS3 features and fixes with details below.
To quote: Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to run their Blades through my poor little champion’s skull every night in God of War: Ascension‘s brutal multiplayer mode. After a long day of work, there is definitely something to be said about gutting and impaling people into the wee hours of the morning!
One of primary reasons we’ve been relatively quiet in the last week regarding support and DLC updates is because we’ve been heads down, working on an update which expands our God of War: Ascension multiplayer experience and addresses some key issues our community has helped us identify and diagnose. There are lots of gameplay developments coming down the pipeline, and today we’ll be sharing some of the stuff that’s moved into our final testing and tuning phase.
Elite Levels – Going Beyond Level 30
One of the biggest enhancements in our upcoming 1.04 update will be increasing the allegiance level cap from 30 to 40. With the addition of 10 levels for every God allegiance, we are introducing a new item, two new relics, and an ultimate magic for every...
46w ago - Capcom Product Manager Mike Lunn has announced today alongside a fresh video trailer that Resident Evil Revelations creeps to PS3 this May 21st complete with new features outlined below.
To quote: Survival horror fans! I'm super excited today to announce that Resident Evil Revelations is heading to PS3 this May. I know a lot of you guys have been patiently waiting for this one so we're happy to be bringing you the definitive Resident Evil Revelations experience along with some new extras.
For those that haven't heard of RE Revelations, it's a little bit different than some of the other Resident Evil titles you may have heard of or played recently. Revelations harkens back to the classic "survival-horror" style gameplay where you'll be exploring dark, creepy areas with little (and sometimes no) ammo to protect yourself from whatever might be lurking around the next corner.
The storyline focuses on Jill Valentine and her partner Parker Luciani as they track down the whereabouts of series standby Chris Redfield and his new partner Jessica Sherawat.
Jill and Parker are investigating the last known coordinates of their comrades on an abandoned cruise ship known as the Queen Zenobia when they're thrown into the middle of bio-terrorist conspiracy full of danger, mystery, and...
76w ago - Following up on his previous release, this weekend PlayStation 3 homebrew developer PsDev has updated PS3Tools GUI Edition to version 2.5 which now includes a new PS3 GUI and features as outlined below.
To quote: To jump right into it, I have added a lot into this version. RCO dumper SFO reader and a whole new GUI form and GUI improvements.
When the program first loads, you're going to be opted to choose the GUI, well remember the original GUI for the main screen? Well I added a new one that took out the Command prompt emulator, made the form smaller and sleeker.
Once you choose the GUI you want it will take you too the specific form, but wait, you want to use the other GUI after your done with your first selection? Well I though of that and instead of having it close after selection it stay's alive until you're done!
