44w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill has answered some popular fan questions on the upcoming Dead Space 3 video game for the PS3 console.
Below is the FAQ, as follows: A couple weeks ago, we asked you for Dead Space 3 questions, which we'd forward along to Visceral Games for a future Q&A.
Starting at 12:01AM Pacific time tonight, you'll be able to download the game on PSN in North America, and it will be available at retail tomorrow, so we think now's a good time to revisit that.
You mobilized and responded to our request in full force, so we had plenty to ask about when we tracked down John Calhoun, Associate Producer of Dead Space 3. When we finally caught up with him, we threatened dismemberment politely asked him a few of the questions you had, and he was happy to oblige.
Read on to find out how Visceral kept co-op scary, what Isaac's new locomotive abilities mean for the game, and what kinds of new horrors you'll face when Dead Space 3 launches tomorrow.
73w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has confirmed today that Tales of Xillia is coming to PS3, and has interviewed Hideo Baba of Namco Bandai who addresses many questions on the PlayStation 3 title below.
To quote: This PS3-exclusive RPG is a celebration of sorts for the Tales series of RPGs, which had been around for 15 years at the time of the game's release in Japan.
But rather than just rehash classic elements, the Tales team took some chances, crafting a new battle system and a more grown-up visual style. The result, according to Famitsu, is the best Tales game yet.
Last week, I had a chance to pose some questions (including some of your Twitter queries) to Tales series producer Hideo Baba. Here are his answers:
Jeff Rubenstein, PlayStation Blog: Tales of Graces f came to PS3, but Vesperia didn't hit PS3 in North America. Now Tales of Xillia has been announced for North America. How do you determine which titles in the series get a an English-language conversion?
Hideo Baba, NAMCO BANDAI Studios Inc.: Given the current resources assigned to the Tales of series team, I am always trying to find ways to assign staff members to work on a Western localized...
However, you also had more questions, and we have the answers! Character customisation options, voice chat, Mechromancer, a unique reward for Borderlands 1 players - I've done my best to answer as many of your questions about Borderlands 2 as possible. Read on...
Can we expect better more consistent framerate this time around?...
83w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared answers today to some common PS3 multiplayer questions in the upcoming title Aliens: Colonial Marines for the PlayStation 3 entertainment system below.
To quote: If you're like me, you've been watching the recent Prometheus trailers (spoilers!) over and over, pausing only to wipe the frothy spittle off your chin.
If you're really like me, you've also been wondering, "what's it gonna take for some talented studio to create a killer game based on the Alien films?"
Luckily, Gearbox Software is building an increasingly compelling case with Aliens: Colonial Marines, an upcoming big-budget PS3 shooter that aims to pick up where James Cameron's seminal 1986 film Aliens left off.
While we know a good bit about the game's tense single-player campaign, details about its multiplayer component have remained frustratingly elusive. So we took to Twitter and posed @PlayStation followers a simple question – what do you want to know about the multiplayer mode in Aliens: Colonial Marines?
We received a flood of questions - some insightful, some maniacally detail-oriented - and presented them to Gearbox...
85w ago - Today Community Manager Ian Webster at Codemasters has answered some popular DiRT Showdown PS3 questions alongside sharing a new video trailer below.
To quote: What with the release of DiRT Showdown on PS3 inching ever closer, we turned to twitter to find out what you guys need to know about the game, and then had those questions answered by Mike Chapman, Senior Designer on the game.
Is this just something to keep us going until Dirt 4?
It has to be said that the idea for a game like DiRT Showdown has been in the studio's collective mind for some time. After we finished work on DiRT 3, we knew that the time was right for the DiRT team to explore some new avenues.
First and foremost though, the game will be an exciting DiRT experience in its own right and we're confident that our existing fans will appreciate the direction we've taken, especially with what that means for future games in the series.
DiRT franchise is awesome! Thoroughly love the way it's progressed. Would you guys ever return to GRiD?
It's great to see that, years after its release, the original GRID is still such a popular game and that people have hopes for a sequel.
Matching and exceeding expectations would of course be our highest priority...
