3w ago - Sony Director of Production Chris Cutliff posted up some videos today of MLB 15 The Show, which arrives on March 31, 2015 for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: Moments ago on the PlayStation Experience Keynote stage, our team formally announced MLB 15 The Show for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita, releasing on March 31st, 2015.

For 18 years, I have had the honor and privilege of being a part of what I selfishly believe is one of the most talented and devoted development teams in the industry, launching MLB titles on 6 different PlayStation platforms during that time. Last year marked our debut on PS4, and we're proud of the foundation we've laid for years to come.

In addition to enhanced visuals, new gameplay features, and an improved online experience, MLB 15 The Show offers a renewed focus on player emotion and personality. Our vision to deliver the most realistic baseball game doesn't stop there. For the first time ever, The Show will feature licensed equipment from the most recognizable brands in baseball.

It's early yet; we've got a lot of work to do, and so much more we're excited to show you. For now, please enjoy the video teaser and keep your eyes on theshownation.com...

37w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman posted up some new videos today announcing that Soul Sacrifice Delta, Freedom Wars and Oreshika are confirmed for North America territories with details below!

To quote: Today we're really happy to announce a trio of brand new PS Vita games from our JAPAN Studio: Soul Sacrifice Delta, an expanded edition of last year's acclaimed dark fantasy adventure; dystopian action RPG Freedom Wars; and stunning JRPG Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines.

Soul Sacrifice Delta will be first to arrive on May 13th, and we'll confirm more details around Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines and Freedom Wars in the coming months. For now, I'll hand over to the games' respective producers to tell you more about each title. And then later today look out for an interview with JAPAN Studio chief Allan Becker.

Soul Sacrifice Delta

Soul Sacrifice Delta is the ultimate edition of Soul Sacrifice with tons of new content and improvements. Grim, the faction who believes in neutrality in all things, joins the blood thirsty Avalon and the merciful Sanctuary, and adds a third angle to bring the Delta in Soul Sacrifice. Grim's beliefs, rooted in the prophecy they will seek to realise, will bring about irrevocable changes to the world as we know it.

Videos: Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate PS Vita Tips and Tricks

57w ago - Armature Studio Game Director Mark Pacini shared some Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate PS Vita tips and tricks today in video format below.

To quote: Hey everyone, Mark Pacini here, Game Director at Armature Studio for Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate. We have some videos highlighting our latest game on PS Vita.

Blackgate is a 2.5D Metroidvania take on the popular Batman: Arkham series. The game itself takes place three months after the events of Batman: Arkham Origins, where Batman is sent in to investigate a riot at Blackgate Prison.

We recorded several "Case Files" to both introduce people to the game, as well as give a few hints here and there. We want you to be able to get the most out of Blackgate, as we tried to pour as much variety and intensity into it as possible.

Combat

FreeFlow Combat is one of the core pillars of the Batman: Arkham franchise, and we've adapted FreeFlow Combat from the console editions of the games into the 2.5D perspective of Blackgate. We had specific challenges in bringing this combat into the 2.5D plane on a completely different game engine, while maintaining the feeling of "being Batman" in combat.

This video highlights the various combat encounters in the game, including the different thug types, as well...

Metrico on PS Vita: Infographics and Input Morphing Detailed

50°
71w ago - Digital Dreams Level Designer Roy van de Mortel shared some concept art and details today on both infographics and input morphing in Metrico on PS Vita below.

To quote: It has been a while since we announced Metrico, so we are very excited to finally be able to share some more insights into the development and current state of Metrico.

We have been working very hard the last couple of months to make sure we now have a playable version, so people can experience what Metrico is about for the first time.

We announced Metrico at GDC San Francisco back in March with an announcement teaser, which was well received. But we knew that the next time we showed something to the press and you guys, we obviously would have to show more than the abstract video, aimed at introducing the game.

Metrico is a mysterious world, so we decided to keep it a bit vague with the teaser. We have a lot more to show since last March, so we'd like to take a moment and explain what type of a game Metrico is.

In Metrico the player needs to traverse the game world, which is built from all sorts of infographics, like bar diagrams, pie charts, line graphs, etc. These infographics constantly change based on your actions,...

Videos: PS Vita Firmware 2.10 Hello World and VHBL Demos, TN-V v3

400°
89w ago - Following up on Sony's recent PS Vita Firmware 2.10 release, PlayStation Vita hacker The Z has shared some videos of a Hello World and VHBL running on it alongside news of TN-V v3 incoming.

Below are the details via Wololo, to quote: It is no secret that PS Vita scene member The Z has a PSP hack available and running on the Vita. He actually mentioned that a while ago back when 2.06 was the latest and greatest.

Today, as firmware 2.10 was announced then quickly made available, we got the usual flow of questions: Have exploits been patched? Does VHBL still work? Will TN save the world from the Giant Crab?

Well at least now we can at least answer one of those, as The Z was quick to confirm that his current exploit is still alive on PS Vita 2.10, as shown in the video below.

Don’t get too excited though. This is, as is now the tradition, “only” a usermode exploit inside of the PSP emulator, running through an undisclosed PSP game, and The Z has not announced anything about a release.

To some of you, this might sound like a broken record now, but new people...
