Plex App is Now Available for PlayStation 3 and PS4 Platforms, Details

500°
19h ago - Today the Plex application is officially released for PlayStation 3 and PS4 console platforms, although it currently is only available through Sony's European and Asian PSN Stores with more details below.

To quote: Plex: Now on Sega Genesis! Just Kidding, PS3 and PS4

Just over two months ago, we launched Plex for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 with great fanfare and a bevy of Barkley photos. And much rejoicing.

The very next day, [Register or Login to view links] (presumably his dad worked for Texas Instruments) created a feature request in the [Register or Login to view links] member forum asking for a Plex app for the PlayStation 4. Since then, his request has been voted on almost one thousand times, and rocketed to become the number one request. Ever.

We noticed this meteoric rise just a week ago, and - jolted out of our usual slack-jawed complacency - we set ourselves up with some intravenous caffeine drips and coded for three days straight. In less time than it took to create, well, the Universe, we had the app running on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, so we took the rest of the week off and played a bunch of hacky sack.

OK, in all honesty, it did take us a bit longer than that. Like,...

New Details on Bloodborne Chalice Dungeons for PlayStation 4

100°
19h ago - Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa is here with some new details on Bloodborne Chalice Dungeons for PlayStation 4 today!

To quote: Hello, PlayStation fans! We had a great time in Las Vegas earlier this month, attending the Game Awards to debut our brand new Bloodborne gameplay trailer, and presenting a brand new game feature, Chalice Dungeons, on-stage at the PlayStation Experience keynote in front of the many fans in the audience - and so many more watching online.

The new Chalice Dungeon feature takes players into the depths of ancient underground ruins located beneath the city of Yharnam. By using holy chalices, players can enter these dungeons and explore the vast structures and multiple levels.

However, every time a portal is opened up, the structure of the dungeon itself changes. These dungeons are filled with traps, nightmarish creatures, and of course rewards for brave and skilled hunters to claim whether they complete them on their own, or with the help of other hunters online.

Chalice Dungeons add a ton of additional content and replay value to the depth and richness of the full game itself, and can even be uploaded for other people to try out. Share your...

Pillar on PS4: New PlayStation 4 Trailer, Soundtrack Released

100°
20h ago - Idea Factory International's David Alonzo revealed a new PlayStation 4 trailer video and soundtrack for Pillar on PS4 today with details below.

To quote: Pillar is a collection of minigames, where each game represents a different type of personality that we find in people. You can read about some of the inspirations for the game on my first PS.Blog post, but today I have a couple of exciting new things to share with you!

First, we've released a trailer for the game you can view below. Hopefully this gives you a feel for how the game will play, and adds context to the "telling a 'story' through gameplay mechanics" idea I touched on in the last post.

Primarily you could say Pillar is a puzzle game, but there are elements of stealth, strategy and exploration sprinkled throughout the different games/characters.

The next bit of news I have is that we've released the soundtrack for Pillar! The music is a very important part of the game. Since I was in the rare position of being both the musician and designer, I took extra care to make sure the music and gameplay are cohesive.

100°
2d ago - NIS America, Inc Marketing Coordinator Jordan Vincent announced today that Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance hits PlayStation 4 in Fall 2015.

Below are the details, to quote: Hello there, Prinny Pals! Jordan from NIS America here to deliver unto you news the likes of which you have never heard before!

In fall 2015, PS4 will be the exclusive home of Nippon Ichi Software's latest entry in the fan-favorite Disgaea series! Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance brings together a completely new cast of characters to tell a tale of rebellion and revenge.

As a new and terrible Overlord named Void Dark seeks to enslave the countless Netherworlds, one young demon has stood to end his reign - Killia. In Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, you will lead Killia and his tenacious army of rebels in their struggle against Dark Void.

Along their dark path to vengeance, you will encounter more hilarious writing, over-the-top animations, and absurd damage numbers than anyone has seen in a Disgaea game. Ever.

If you've been thirsting for quirky characters, intense strategy, tumultuously tall towers of teammates, stat numbers, and gameplay hours that approach infinity (sort of), all in one game, well... you'll have to wait until Fall 2015.

But then, my young Prinnies, your...
