19h ago - Bungie Community Manager DeeJ is here with the official PlayStation 3 video trailer for Destiny: The Law of the Jungle with details below.

To quote: Back at Bungie, we're all hard at work gearing up for the big show in June, but we didn't want to leave you empty-handed heading into E3.

To whet your appetite for Destiny's gameplay reveal on June 10th, we're releasing a CG/live action trailer that features three Guardians in action.

The spot, titled "Law of the Jungle," was created in collaboration with director Jon Favreau, actor Giancarlo Esposito, and visual effects house Digital Domain.

24w ago - Today Sony has launched their official PSN / SEN Web-based online store, accessible from Internet browsers (although Linux users report they are blocked) in several territories with more expected to arrive soon.

Those interested can check it out HERE, simply select your language region (such as THIS one) and wait for the page to load a selection of games, deals and offers including PlayStation Plus.

To quote from SCEE Blog Manager Fred Dutton (via GameChup.com linked above):

“We are testing a new web store, which we look forward to announcing and launching to the PlayStation/Sony community shortly.”

Also from Jemal Alexandar, ex-marketing manager for Square Enix, who revealed how important this was for Sony:

“Web based store for PSN is pretty huge, though. I remember being in many meetings with publishers who wanted to see it happen. 3 years ago.”

27w ago - Today R*Q has officially posted up trailer #2 showcasing Grand Theft Auto V for the PlayStation 3 console with details below!

Grand Theft Auto V, commonly shortened to GTA V, is an upcoming open world action-adventure video game being developed by games developer Rockstar North, and published by Rockstar Games.

The game will be the first major title in the Grand Theft Auto series since Grand Theft Auto IV (2008), and a continuation of the fictional universe that was introduced in that game.

The fifteenth game in the series overall, GTA V is to be set in fictional Los Santos in the state of San Andreas and its surrounding areas, based on modern-day Los Angeles and Southern California.

A rendition of Los Santos was previously featured as one of three cities in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, released in 2004.

According to Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto V is destined to be their biggest open world game to date. The game will concentrate on "the pursuit of the almighty dollar". A highly anticipated game, Grand Theft Auto V was officially announced on 25 October 2011, but it was a further year before the release window of Q2 2013 was announced.

64w ago - Sony Portal Manager Emmanuel Orssaud has announced the release of the PlayStation Official Application 1.3 update today with details below, as follows:

A new update of the PlayStation Official App is now available. With this new version (1.3), you will be able to get all the latest PS Vita News, Games, Peripherals info directly from your smartphone.

From the home menu, you'll get a prompt to discover PS Vita via an augmented reality feature. All you have to do is find a PS Vita logo, zap it and this will trigger the interactive animation.

Hope you enjoy the new version and I'll be back on the blog pretty soon to announce the next big release (version 2.0) which will be the biggest update to the app so far with new features.

Note: PlayStation Official App is compatible with iPhone 3GS, 4 and 4S with minimum of iOS 4 and for Android devices with OS 2.1 and above.

PlayStation Official App doesn't support Android devices with small screens e.g. Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini.
