4w ago - Today Microsoft spokesman Major Nelson has confirmed plans to officially reveal the next-generation XBox video gaming console at an event to be hosted on May 21st, 2013.
Below are the details, to quote: On Tuesday May 21st, we’ll mark the beginning of a new generation of games, TV and entertainment. On that day, we’ll be holding a special press event on the Xbox campus and we invite you to join us via the live global stream that will be available on Xbox LIVE and Xbox.com. If you are in the US or Canada, you can also watch the broadcast on Spike TV.
On that day, we’ll share our vision for Xbox, and give you a real taste of the future. Then, 19-days later at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, we’ll continue the conversation and showcase our full lineup of blockbuster games.

Below are the details, to quote: Hey everyone, Bobby King from FarSight Studios here. We just got back from Dallas and the Texas Pinball Festival.
It's a tremendously fun weekend that includes playing hundreds of classic and rare pinball machines to the latest tables from Stern Pinball, like The Avengers; and Jersey Jack's first table, Wizard of Oz (which looks and plays great and features the first LCD backbox display in pinball history).
Next weekend, we'll have a booth in Milwaukee at the Midwest Gaming Classic, so if you live in the area, stop by and check out the show. There will be everything from classic video game consoles and coin-op to tons of pinball.
In Dallas, we were lucky enough to get to spend some time with legendary pinball designer, Steve Ritchie. The "King of Flow" even took some time to check out our latest PS3 feature, stereoscopic 3D before heading back to Stern where we know he's working on his next pinball design destined to be a classic.

A lot of you probably hadn't even heard of the game before, so I'm here to remedy that.
Skullgirls is more than just a PSN fighting game, it's the realization of two peoples' long-held dreams... seriously! Creative director Alex "o_8" Ahad has been working on the characters and story since he was in high school, and project lead Mike "Mike Z" Zaimont had been working on a fighting game engine in his free time since 2008.
When mutual friends introduced them to each other, Skullgirls was born. Joining the recently founded Reverge Labs team in 2010, they signed with publisher Autumn games, and at E3 Konami announced that it will be distributing Skullgirls.

119w ago - According to Edge Magazine via CVG, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that PS3 game ports to NGP (Next Generation Portable) will be both simple and quick for developers.
To quote: Today, many teams are familiar with the PS3 and are used to including a variety of effects in their titles.
"Based on this expertise - and also the working habits they developed working on the PS3 - we had to make development on the NGP as natural as possible - an extension of the PS3, if you will.
"So the three demos you've seen - Lost Planet 2, Ryu Ga Gotoku [Yakuza] and MGS4 - they prove porting is simple and quick, but it doesn't mean that's all you can expect. My view of NGP isn't just as a platform for porting PS3 titles."
