Indie Horror Game Home Hits PS4 October 28th, PS Vita Soon After

100°
21h ago - Benjamin Rivers Inc Director Benjamin Rivers confirmed today that Indie horror game Home hits PS4 on October 28th, 2014 with a PS Vita version to follow soon after.

To quote: It was announced that the horror game Home was coming to PlayStation this year, and I am very excited to say that the PS4 version of the game will be launching October 28th - just in time for Halloween!

This horror adventure is a player-driven story that responds to your choices; taking cues from adventure games as well as side-scrollers, what happens in Home is entirely up to the player.

As you make choices and even explore, the game changes in subtle ways to reflect your adventure. I like to think of it as the kind of game you'll immediately want to talk about with other players as soon as you finish it, just to compare notes.

The Vita version will follow very soon after - I honestly just couldn't wait to get the PS4 version into players' sweaty hands. But Vita owners, fear not: Home supports cross buy, so you'll get both versions of the game for the same price anyway, even if you get the PS4 version!

The only one who'll be more scared is my accountant; for the first two weeks I'm having a launch sale, so both versions of Home together will be available for the so-spooky-it-can't-be-real...

Video: Rainbow Skies: First PS3 / PS Vita Gameplay Trailer Revealed

400°
3d ago - SideQuest Studios CEO Marcus Pukropski revealed the first Rainbow Skies PS3 / PS Vita gameplay trailer video below today.

To quote: It seems that many of you have been enjoying the opportunity to check out Rainbow Moon, which is currently part of the Instant Game Collection.

Today, I would like to show you the first video footage of our new game Rainbow Skies on PS3 and PS Vita, which we've been working on for some time now.

Rainbow Skies takes place in a completely new world and is an indirect sequel to Rainbow Moon. The game tells the story of the three young protagonists Damion, Layne, and Ashly, that meet under unforeseen circumstances and who get caught in the deadly crossfire of two rival superpowers.

Using Rainbow Moon as a foundation allows us to continue to improve all of our core features and introduce many new gameplay elements, such as monster taming and a combining skill attacks, some of which you can get a sneak peek at in the trailer.

For fans of Rainbow Moon, rest assured the gameplay and structure that are a trademark of the series are our still our highest priority and we endeavor not to disappoint!

Rainbow Skies will contain more than 10 times the amount...

Video: Sony Invites Gamers to a Little Bit of Friendly Competition

5d ago - Sony PlayStation Brand Marketing Senior Vice President Guy Longworth cordially invites PlayStation 4 gamers to a little bit of friendly PS4 competition today.

To quote: It is hard to believe that it has been nearly a year since [Register or Login to view links] arrived in stores.

Since then, we've seen the incredible passion of the PlayStation Nation, and plenty of new converts too, rise up in support of the connected social experience at the heart of the new console. To date, millions of screenshots and videos have been shared around the world, but perhaps the most important thing to be shared is the amazing experience that friends get when they play together.

There's something special about grabbing your PS4 controller, sitting down with a friend, and starting up a game. Whether side-by-side on the couch or online, there's nothing quite like getting ready for some real competitive or cooperative gaming.

Here at PlayStation we know that feeling very well, and always enjoy the chance to talk strategy with a friend the next day, or help them remember their defeat.

Our new video is dedicated to those...

New Sony PlayStation Game Releases for October 21, 2014

6d ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements is here with the new PlayStation Game releases for the upcoming week today, as follows:

Do you lie awake at night, dreaming of cutting down demons with a katana? Or perhaps you muse about which element you would prefer to bend to your will? Well friend, this week's new PlayStation games have somehow catered to your rather atypical interests.

The Legend of Korra is coming to PS4 and PS3 this week, telling the story of the strong, stubborn avatar and her connection to the four elements. Developed by PlatinumGames, this third-person action game tasks players with unlocking Korra's bending abilities and using devastating combos against her opponents.

And for those craving the katana, Shadow Warrior also launches this week on PS4. Use the katana (or a bevy of insane firearms) to mow down demons and yakuza alike in this reimagining of a cult classic.
