Sony Invites Fans to Enter the Impossible World of Relativity on PS4

2w ago - Developer and Designer Willy Chyr invites fans to enter the impossible world of Relativity on PS4 today with details below.

To quote: Hello! My name is Willy Chyr - I'm an artist and indie game developer based in Chicago. I'm happy to announce that my game Relativity will be coming to PS4 in 2015, and you will get to try it at PlayStation Experience next month in Las Vegas!

Relativity is a game that re-imagines the laws of the universe. What if the normal rules of gravity no longer applied? The basic mechanic of the game is the ability to change gravity, allowing you to re-orient yourself to walk on walls and ceilings. In this world, up is down and down is up. It's all relative.

Let's take a look at what an early puzzle in the game is like. In the gif below, we need to get the purple block to stay on the purple square in order to unlock a door, but the block keeps sliding down. The solution: we lock the blue block in place while in the blue gravity, and then use it as a shelf to hold up the purple block.

What you just saw is the basic gameplay mechanic. But Relativity is more than just about stacking cubes - there is an entire world full of wonder and impossible...

To quote: Here we go! I'm happy to announce our very first PlayStation Experience, a massive two-day community event dedicated to the people who bring PlayStation to life: you!

We've been planning this bad boy for some time... and with PlayStation's 20-year anniversary just around the corner, the timing couldn't be more perfect.

Prepare for two intense days of PlayStation gaming, content, and activities. Attendees will sit in on in-depth panels, meet the industry's best developers, score hands-on gameplay with tons of upcoming PlayStation games, collect free swag, and get a chance to purchase rare collectibles directly from their favorite game studios. Attendees will also get an exclusive first look at what's coming next in 2015, which I am told you will not want to miss.

The two-day community event will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 6th and 7th, 2014. And stay tuned for October 20th, when we release details on how you can be part of this legendary event; the one-day pass will cost $50.00, with the two-day pass going for $90. The venue is huge, too, so we'll have plenty of room and plenty of games. Bring your friends...

Sony Invites PS4 Fans to Play the Evolve Big Alpha This Halloween

7w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements invites PS4 fans to play the Evolve Big Alpha this Halloween!

Below are the details, to quote: Hunters, shooter fans, giant monsters, unite! 2K and Turtle Rock's multiplayer shooter Evolve is getting a closed "Big Alpha" test later this month.

Do you enjoy the occasional, death-defying hunt through exotic alien jungles? Or do you prefer the confidence of a lumbering giant that hurls rocks at prey? Evolve caters to both play styles!

The closed alpha test is happening on PS4 from October 31st to November 2nd. Please mark your calendars.

Evolve's been playable at select tradeshows earlier this year, but for many of you this will be your first and best chance to see what Turtle Rock has cooking before it launches. Evolve is still months out from its release date on February 10th, so getting in now is recommended if you're impatient. Which is totally fine.

Because this is a limited closed alpha test, you'll need a code to register for a chance to participate. Fortunately, we have one for you below. Use before it expires and remember that you must have an active PS Plus membership to play.

• Use Referral Code: PlayStation4v1

7w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements invites PS4 fans to be a Pro Player in NBA 2K15 on PlayStation 4.

To quote: [Register or Login to view links] hits PS4 and PS3 tomorrow, showcasing 2K's groundbreaking passion for the sport.

And although you can take your favorite teams to the court or face off against competition from around the world online, you can also bring yourself into the game. Don't have time to be a pro player in the NBA? No worries, 2K has you covered.

In NBA 2K15, you can create MyPLAYER to represent you in your rise from an undrafted rookie to an NBA Hall of Famer. By using PlayStation Camera with PS4, you can scan in thousands of data points from your face, and NBA 2K15 will build your MyPLAYER with incredible results. And all you have to do? Sit there and turn your head!

We wanted to try out this new feature for ourselves. As you can see from the images below, we had a blast building some pro players in our own (nerdy) image. If you want to put yourself on the court, [Register or Login to view links] when getting PlayStation Camera set up.

1.) Sit in a well-lit area, natural lighting preferred.
