Alien: Isolation PS4 Survivor Mode and Season Pass Detailed

50°
6d ago - Creative Assembly Community Manager Ngan Nguyen shared an update today on Alien: Isolation featuring PS4 Survivor Mode and Season Pass details below.

To quote: Alien: Isolation's Survivor Mode was first seen at E3, where attendees got hands-on with the time-based challenge of escaping a level - and the Alien - in the fastest time possible. Others later experienced this terror, isolated in the dark chamber of a 10ft tall, giant Alien egg replica gaming station at San Diego Comic Con and PAX.

For many, the challenge proved too frightening. Some met the challenge to survive and complete the level. All experienced the thrill of facing the universe's deadliest killer - one-to-one.

Survivor Mode is you versus the creature, against the clock and in a desperate bid for survival. With few resources on each map, players will have to take full advantage of what they can find to complete objectives and escape.

On October 7th, those brave enough to face the challenge can experience the first map of Survivor Mode - Basement - with their copy of Alien: Isolation.

And on October 28th, the first of five Survivor Mode add-on packs will be available to purchase, featuring three new maps. Each map has its own set objective, challenges, a variety of enemy types to deal with, and...

2w ago - Sony Senior Brand Marketing Manager Anand Agarwal revealed details today on their new PlayStation headsets, which are compatible with Destiny Audio as outlined below.

To quote: This holiday season is right around the corner, which means a whole slate of amazing PS4 games are set to launch in the next few months, including Destiny (Tomorrow!), Driveclub, NBA 2K15, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Far Cry 4, and LittleBigPlanet 3.

That means you're probably going to be spending a lot of time with your PS4, right? This fall we've got a great lineup of new headsets and DualShock 4 colors to give you exactly what you need while you're gaming.

I personally can't wait to play Destiny on the brand new Glacier White PS4. This new color is available exclusively as part of the [Register or Login to view links] which hits stores tomorrow, September 9th.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel - The Power of Claptrap Detailed

50°
6w ago - Gearbox Software Content Editor Andrew Goldfarb shared details today on Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel - The Power of Claptrap for PlayStation 3 below.

To quote: Since we announced [Register or Login to view links], there's one question we've gotten more than any other: what is Claptrap's action skill? Up until now we haven't said much, but today we're happy to reveal that it's as weird as you might have hoped.

Claptrap's action skill is named VaultHunter.exe, and when he uses it he's granted one of several random abilities for a short time.

If you're lucky and Claptrap's programming is working properly, you might get a brief opportunity to use a version of another Vault Hunter's skill, like becoming a Gunzerker (In Claptrap's case, Funzerking!) or a Mechromancer (You'll love your new fire rate!).

If you're less lucky, you might be stuck bouncing up and down uncontrollably or launching a torrent of grenades that will obliterate friend and foe alike.

Beyond that, depending on the skill tree you choose, Claptrap may also gain the ability to cycle between subroutines that increase his efficiency with different types of guns, health regeneration,...

Video: The Last of Us Remastered: PS4 Photo Mode Detailed

250°
9w ago - Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli shared a video of The Last of Us Remastered today which details the PS4 Photo Mode below.

To quote: We made a [Register or Login to view links] of cool additions to The Last of Us Remastered to create the definitive The Last of Us game, but one of the features we're most excited about is Photo Mode.

After all, what's a beautiful post pandemic landscape if you can't share some good pictures of it?

Photo Mode is activated through the pause screen. You can activate it by simply tapping L3 to freeze the action in-game as long you aren't in a cutscene. For a clear description of how it works, check out a tutorial from Jeff Negus, our in-house editor and videographer:

Camera control, field of view, and depth of field adjustments will help you frame the perfect shot. Aesthetically, you can add one of ten different color filters and adjust its intensity.

You can choose to give your photo a vignette or even select from a selection of eleven different frames. If you like the look of film grain, you can add that as well. There are a ton of options for you to explore.
