2w ago - LOOT Entertainment Product Manager Jason Sorensen went behind the scenes today in a video of The Last Tinker: City of Colors on PS4 below.

To quote: PlayStation's embrace of indies is one of the most important developments in the gaming industry today. There are vast seas of awesome, innovative games that get made but then are completely overlooked and undiscovered - and PlayStation has neatly solved this.

Thanks to PlayStation, you can actually develop a really cool and innovative game, knowing that if it's well-made, it can be featured on the best damn gaming platform around.

And here at LOOT, we believe that The Last Tinker is something special. Judging from the vast majority of the comments our announcement post received last week, it looks like you guys feel the same way. Which is AWESOME. Do you know how good it feels when you announce a game and people are like, "I can't wait to play this!"

It feels like you just won a wrestling match with a grizzly bear inside a nuclear submarine and there's Megan Fox and all of a sudden Morgan Freeman is narrating in the background. That's how awesome it feels. So thank you guys for that.

As a result of your feedback, we've reached out to the...

23w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements goes behind the supernatural scenes of Murdered: Soul Suspect on PS4 and PS3 today.

Below are the details, to quote: In a storm of broken glass and gunshots, Ronan O'Connor dies in the dark Salem night. So begins a supernatural investigation into his own murder.

In the upcoming thriller for PS3 and PS4, help Ronan unravel the mystery of his untimely demise and save his ghost from the inevitable corruption of the Dusk.

In light of the upcoming launch of Murdered: Soul Suspect, we asked Airtight Games Chief Creative Officer Matt Brunner and Senior Design Producer Eric Studer some questions about their design process. Read on to see what inspired this ghostly thriller, and how the team fashioned a story around your own murder.

PlayStation.Blog: How did the team at Airtight Games come to the idea of a supernatural crime story? How does the detective narrative and the ghostly elements fit together?

Matt Brunner: From my recollection, we started with the core concept of a ghost game. It was that notion that got the team most excited. Our first round of gameplay and character development led us more into a ghost action hero with ranged weapons and the ability to traverse great heights.

After our...

52w ago - Square-Enix Associate Director of Product Marketing Amritz Lay posted up a behind-the-scenes video today showcasing Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (Part 1) below.

To quote: In 25 years, [Register or Login to view links] and the Final Fantasy development team have never had a behind-the-scenes look at how the franchise is created. Until now.

We're excited to unveil a brand new series titled "Inside the Square," which takes an in-depth look at one of the greatest RPG franchises around.

Earlier this year, we ventured out to Tokyo with an Emmy award winning camera crew to spend time with Yoshinori Kitase, Motomu Toriyama, and the entire Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII development team.

We quickly realized that each member of this incredibly talented group has a lot to say. Furthermore, the Final Fantasy franchise has such a rich history and so many moving parts, we couldn't properly showcase how these games are made in one video – so you get to witness the first of a three part series.

Our goal with this series is to show everyone a different side of the development staff, and what it's like to work at one of the most prolific video game companies in the world - Square Enix.

We also wanted to give everyone...
