Video: Atlus Announces Conception II is Out Today on PS Vita

3d ago - Atlus PR Manager John Hardin announced that Conception II is out today on PS Vita with a fresh PlayStation Vita video trailer below.

To quote: Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars is out today for PS Vita, and you know what that means? It's time to start classmating!

Conception II is a dungeon crawler/social-sim hybrid where you're put into the role of "God's Gift" - a teenager bestowed with unprecedented amounts of power from the Star God. As a disciple, you're tasked with saving the world of Aterra by pairing up with one of the game's seven heroines and clearing out infestations of monsters.

Of course, to do that, you'll need your army of Star Children - magical beings that fight for you in battle. You make these Star Children through a magical ritual with the heroines, and you can bring up to nine Star Children with you into battle.

There's 30 classes of Star Children to choose from, and the stats of the heroine, the heroine's mood (You gotta be nice to them!), and other rare items affect what classes are available to you, so spend your time wisely.

Oh - and be sure to turn on your ad-hoc networks; you can actually classmate with another player's heroines or even the other players themselves in a process called "classmanting" (Yeah, that's a thing).

The Gameroom Announces That Trivia Game is Out Today on PS4

3d ago - The Gameroom Product Development Manager Ashley Hodgetts announced that That Trivia Game is out today on the PlayStation 4 video gaming system with details below.

To quote: Get those thinking caps on and ready the crew for an intense battle of the minds - in a "not too serious" way. It's time for That Trivia Game!

That Trivia Game on PS4 is all about trivia. We spent a large portion of our time researching and creating questions that cover a wide range of categories and topics.

A thousand questions were hand-picked out of the thousands of candidates to ensure we had a fair and balanced collection of relevant and current trivia. The difficulty levels were carefully balanced so that everyone can get involved - there's nothing worse than being the only person playing that doesn't know any of the answers.

That Trivia Game has four rounds with fun and varying ways of playing. Each round adds its own twist to the trivia format, making every round fun and engaging, while still being easy to play.

As mentioned earlier, That Trivia Game has more than a thousand questions in a wide range of categories. This means that you can play around 40 games of That Trivia Game without seeing repeating questions. And at the price of $9.99, that's less than 1 cent per question!

Voofoo Studios Announces Pure Chess is Out This April 15th on PS4

4d ago - Voofoo Studios Creative Producer Shaun Read officially announced today that Pure Chess is out this April 15th on PS4 with details below.

To quote: You can literally smell the excitement here at VooFoo towers, and it's not (only) due to the lack of personal hygiene time we've had as of late. We've teamed up with publisher Ripstone to bring you our latest, greatest version of Pure Chess, which hits PS4 tomorrow. And we're extremely proud of our baby.

If you don't know who we are, VooFoo Studios is a small team of passionate developers based in sunny Birmingham, right in the heart of England. We've always prided ourselves on making highly playable, photo-realistic games, and thanks to the power of the PS4 hardware we've been able to turn the dial up to eleven.

Displayed at 1080p and running at a silky-smooth 60 frames per second, Pure Chess on PS4 is a visual tour-de-force. We've doubled the texture sizes, added many extra layers of post-processing, added contact shadows, and applied ultra-realistic depth-of-field... which is a rather boring way of saying that this is a seriously good looking chess game! Couple this with a massively improved custom networking system to provide a much slicker online experience and we're confident you'll love Pure Chess just as much as we do.

XDev Studio Announces Dead Nation Coming to PS Vita on April 15th

50°
4d ago - XDEV Studio Europe Associate Producer Rogan Ogden announced today that Dead Nation is coming to PS Vita on April 15th, 2014.

Below is the scoop, to quote: Back at E3 2013, the PS Vita version of Dead Nation was announced, and today I'm pleased to confirm that the game will be launching tomorrow. You'll finally be able to carry the zombie apocalypse in your pocket.

For those of you who still aren't in the know after the launch of the PS4 version last month, Dead Nation is a top-down, shoot 'em up style game set in an apocalyptic zombie world. This classic PSN game was originally developed by the talented team at Housemarque, also known for Resogun and Super Stardust HD.

Like the PS4 version of the game, the PS Vita version has been developed by our friends at Climax Studios, and they've faithfully recreated the classic experience of the original PS3 game. Journey through the campaign as Jack McReady or Scarlett Blake, or replay your favorite levels and compete for top scores in the single mission mode.

Prefer not to experience the apocalypse alone? You and a friend can play the game in both online or ad-hoc co-op. Make sure you upload your stats whenever possible to support your country in the global standings.

Dead Nation will cost $7.99, and the Road of Devastation...
