4d ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Gabriel Graziani has made available a new Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag gameplay trailer video today which takes it to the high seas!
Below are the details, to quote: Edward Kenway set out to earn his fortune in the West Indies, but you'll see first-hand how he (like so many other sailors of his day) turned to a much more brutal, ruthless and lucrative life in Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag.
We're very pleased to deliver yet another glimpse into this world and further define our vision of The Golden Age of Pirates with this new gameplay trailer!
Captain Edward Kenway is a complicated guy with simple objectives: get money, honor the crew and live a life unbound by the laws of remote sovereigns. His story will take you all around the Caribbean, plundering, pillaging and generally leaving a wake of mayhem behind you.
But there is also a larger tale involving Edward's contemporaries, and despite their commonly-known roles as thieves and brigands of the sea, there were pirates of the age who worked to create a truly free society. Edward will become embroiled in their struggle, and that of a much more inconspicuous and clandestine group...
5d ago - Lucid Games Founder Nick Davies announced today alongside a video that Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery camps out on PS Vita today.
To quote: Today we're launching Episode 1 of Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery on PS Vita for just $2.99, bringing the quirky adventures of title character Jacob in the most memorable summer of his life at Camp Eagle Feather.
Eagle Feather's counselors aren't the sensible, parental figures you'd want supervising a camp filled with unruly kids. In fact, the counselors have developed a suspicious fixation, making sure every camper is well fed... extremely well fed.
Let's meet some of the characters you'll run into along the way:
• Mr. Grimmel, head of Physical Education - For someone who appears to have a pathological hatred for kids, working at a summer camp doesn't exactly seem like the perfect career choice for Mr. Grimmel. Cross him at your own peril...
• Mr. Thagorous, head of Science - What's going on inside the science lab at Camp Eagle Feather? It all seems a little more dangerous than your typical school chemistry lab.
• Mr. Hans, Groundsman - He seems friendly enough but he's obsessed with the gophers digging up his well-maintained grounds, so obsessed in fact, he's taking drastic measures to...
3w ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Nik Schmidt has shared an Out of Control trailer video today confirming that Watch Dogs arrives on PS3 November 19, 2013.
To quote: Nik here, it's nice to get another opportunity to chat with you guys. Today we're digging a bit deeper into the human puzzle that is Aiden Pearce by launching our World Premiere Gameplay Trailer.
Here you'll get to know Aiden a bit better, and most importantly, you'll discover what drives him to do the things he does. You'll get a good picture of how he uses the city of Chicago against those who crossed him... and you'll see how far he will go to make them pay.
We're also happy to announce that Watch_Dogs now has an official launch date - the game will be available on PS3 starting November 19th. (We'll be back to talk about the PS4 version and its release timing at a later date.)
In addition, those of you who pre-order at GameStop will also get an exclusive Watch_Dogs poster, designed by the legendary comic book artist Alex Ross. The poster's design is the inspiration behind the game's box art and captures the essence of our hero, Aiden Pearce.
That's the last of our announcements for now, but you can look forward to even more...
4w ago - Sony Producer Kumi Yuasa shared a new pre-order video trailer today announcing that Soul Sacrifice is officially out next week with details below.
To quote: Hello, PlayStation friends! We hope you're enjoying the recently released Soul Sacrifice demo.
Remember - online multiplayer support for the demo will end when the game launches next Tuesday, so if you've been curious to see how the infrastructure online handles, check it out sooner rather than later.
Just as importantly: your save files carry over to the finished game, and doing so is the only way to get your hands on a special magical Offering, so check out the demo if you haven't already.
The full game will be out next Tuesday, April 30th, but there's still time left to pre-order! Instead of yet again writing about all the goodies set aside for folks who reserve their copies, we decided to make a video. Enjoy!
We've got plenty more to share, including the second (and final) part of our special sit-down with designer Keiji Inafune, so stay tuned!
4w ago - Designer Mike Bithell announced today that Thomas Was Alone is officially released today on PS3 and PS Vita complete with DLC.
To quote: It's done. A game which began as a Flash game made over a weekend because my girlfriend was away and I was a bit bored, is today coming out on PS3 and PS Vita via PSN and PS+.
That last sentence was a bit of a mouthful. I apologize.
Thomas Was Alone is a game about friendship and jumping. As you can see from the images and videos no doubt littered amongst this post, it is also very much about rectangles.
If you've got PlayStation Plus and you're in the US, you'll get 20% off the game for a limited time, because of the Spring Fever sale. Which is awesome. Daffodils rock.
This version will also give you first access to some new stuff. There's a new DLC episode which tells the story of Benjamin, a new square with a jetpack and big ideas, and a commentary mode in the main game where you can listen to me going on and on about how clever I was putting the game together.
It's spellbinding. I'm listening to it as I write this, because I'm on a train and it's either that or Bowie's new album, which I've listened to twice. You should really listen to Bowie's album too. I'm not here to plug that...
