80w ago - Today Grip Games CEO Jakub Mikyska has shared the third installment in the Foosball 2012 developer series, this time spotlighting single-player and multiplayer options in a video demo for PS3 and PS Vita fans below.
To quote: Over the past couple of weeks we've taken you through the controls and cross-platform features, so this time we're going to dive into the multiplayer and single-player modes.
Real-world table football is the most fun when you play it with friends, and that's something we definitely took into account when developing Foosball 2012.
Up to four players can play locally at the same time, whether that's two for each team or other combinations like 1 vs. 1 or 2 vs. AI or 2 vs. 1 and so forth. It's also possible for some of the players to play with PlayStation Move and others with DualShock 3.
Online multiplayer is also present, of course. You can play alone, or join up with a friend locally and take on the world together. Every victory nets you experience points and boosts your global ranking, so be sure to check the leaderboards to see whether your friends are above or below you.
If you do prefer single player, the game's World Tour mode lets you face off against 29 A.I....

135w ago - Today Sony PlayStation 3 hacker Mathieulh has posted a video demo showcasing the PS3 QA flag, which is the internal console flag used by Sony to enable hidden Firmware options and removes restrictions on Retail and Debug consoles.
This is done on official PS3 Retail/Debug firmware without any modification as the console itself is QA flagged (QA token is set through spu_token_processor), meaning the method will not work on unflagged consoles and using the advanced QA flag also enables PS3 Firmware downgrading.
From the video's caption: I just QA flagged my Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Edition console and I thought I'd show you the hidden options for the sake of it (and because I was bored).
I am sorry for the unstable camera, I only have two hands and the options are hidden and require (along with the actual flag) a crazy button combo to pop up. (I kid you not)
Sorry I am not telling you how to do this, please do not ask. Yes, this video is real.
QA flag is the internal console flag used by Sony, it enables hidden options and removes restrictions for both retail and debug consoles alike. It is used for QA centers and the R&D Department, there are 2 levels of QA flags, Minimum and Advanced, this console has been set to the Advanced one.
154w ago - Cyberskunk has been working around the clock and has made major progress- today we bring to you pictures and confirmation that the Quick Signup PS3 Debug option is actually working on a Retail PlayStation 3 console with Rebug!
There are plenty of other PS3 debug features working, but I won't get into that right now
I have blurred out the username from the quick signup to protect the account because $ony will know the password.
Here are a few teaser pics of some good things to come
I'm sure this will piss off a few devs seeing that they would not like to see retail consoles converted to debugs, but that's the nature of the game
