17w ago - Today Sony PlayStation Public Relations Manager Aram Jabbari has officially announced that the God of War: Ascension PS3 Multiplayer Beta is open to all PSN users.

Below are the details, to quote: You've likely read or seen the many posts over the past month regarding the God of War: Ascension Multiplayer Beta.

At first it was available only to participants of the "Rise of the Warrior" experience on the God of War Web site (which is now relaunched, new and improved, and ready to dole out even more extras for series fans).

Then it was only accessible to PlayStation Plus members (as if they needed any more exclusive content, what with their free Instant Game Collection and countless discounts).

Now, we're excited to announce that we're opening up the Ascension MP Beta to all PlayStation Network users for a very limited time. Starting now and lasting through the holiday weekend--provided you've got a PlayStation 3 and a valid North American PlayStation Network account- you're in!

Think of it as a sampling- nay, a slice- of the benefits and rewards showered upon PlayStation Plus members month after month. Wish you could have played the Beta for longer than a few days? Wish you could get more first looks...

38w ago - Sony European Product Manager Erica Doddato has posted up a video today announcing that the Ratchet & Clank: QForce Beta is opening to PlayStation Plus members.

To quote: Recently Ratchet & Clank: QForce has been in its private beta phase.

I'm pleased to inform you that the beta will be made available for a limited time to some lucky PS Plus members from 4.00pm GMT today, Wednesday 29th August.

The beta will include the following:

• A tutorial mode which you can play alone
• Ranked competitive multiplayer where you can play 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 or Party 2 vs 2 (invite a friend to join you and then go and find a game together)
• Leaderboards

66w ago - Creative Director John Garvin of Sony's Bend Studio has shared a video today spotlighting Uncharted: Golden Abyss on PS Vita opening The Black Market below.

To quote: As we get closer and closer to the European launch of the PS VITA and Uncharted: Golden Abyss, myself and all the guys at Bend Studio are getting pretty amped.

For us it's been a long time in the making, from early brainstorming sessions on the PS VITA itself beginning in 2008, through production, which wrapped up at the end of 2011. When given the opportunity to create a launch title for Sony's new next-gen handheld, we jumped at the chance. When asked what game we'd like to make, we said Uncharted! Here's why.

From the beginning, our goal was to create a great Uncharted game, to give players, including ourselves, more of what they love, but with the PS VITA's unique spin.





The cinematic experience, the gunplay and weapons, the compelling story and characters, the mystery and treasure hunting based on real history, the puzzles, the platforming, and of course, the colourful and detailed imagery... it's all there. 85w ago - SCEE European Product Manager Phil Lynch has announced today that the Uncharted 3 PS3 multiplayer experience opens to PlayStation Plus members this week with details below.

To quote: I'm really happy to announce that PlayStation Plus subscribers in Europe, South Africa, The Middle East, Australia and New Zealand will get a chance to play Uncharted 3's competitive multiplayer experience before the full game releases on November 2.

The Uncharted 3 competitive multiplayer experience will go online for PlayStation Plus subscribers on Wednesday, October 5, 2011.

PlayStation Plus subscription is the only way to guarantee access. However, If you're not a subscriber to PlayStation Plus, there may be other ways to gain access throughout the month of October, keep an eye on your local PlayStation.Blog page or community forums for more details.
