Killzone Mercenary Update: PS TV Support and More Detailed

50°
1w ago - Guerilla Cambridge Tech Director Matt Porter shared a Killzone Mercenary update today announcing PS TV support and more as detailed below.

To quote: When [Register or Login to view links] was first announced, we were super excited at the idea of having [Register or Login to view links] running on a big TV screen.

So, we went to work on making that idea happen, and are pleased to announce we can finally share the results. Killzone Mercenary update 1.11 is now available across all regions, bringing full support for the PlayStation TV system to Mercenary.

The game does indeed look fantastic on the big screen, and the DualShock controls bring a new feel to the game's mechanics. We've reworked all the touch mechanics to maximize the experience when played with those controls.

Knowing that PS Vita players will play directly with PlayStation TV players online, we've worked hard to ensure the game is balanced for both parties, without either one having a competitive advantage.

Also, as part of update 1.11 and in response to player feedback, we've finally been...

Video: SUTD Game Lab Announces One Upon Light for PlayStation 4

50°
2w ago - SUTD Game Lab Lead Programmer Chuah Chong Yunn announced One Upon Light is coming to PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: Hello everyone! I'm Yunn, the Lead Programmer of One Upon Light. For the past two years, our little team at SUTD Game Lab has been lovingly toiling away to bring this game to you. We are very pleased that we will soon be able to release our game on PS4!

One Upon Light tells the story of an individual's journey through what appears to be a large abandoned science facility. You control the protagonist - a scientist - as he makes his way through the labyrinth of chambers and malfunctioning science equipment.

He soon finds out that he is extremely averse to light: exposure to illumination results in excruciating pain, followed shortly by death. Through the course of the game, you will uncover the mysteries behind the facility's current state. At the same time, the scientist will learn more about his extraordinary condition - and perhaps even himself.

The goal of every level is very simple: you need to move the scientist from one end of the map to the other. However, getting to the end of every level isn't quite straightforward, because you need to be aware of that which harms him: light.

Navigate rooms and corridors while avoiding lights,...

50°
4w ago - Sony Associate Project Manager Nick Accordino announced today that Invizimals: The Alliance and The Lost Kingdom launch next week.

Below are the details, to quote: Hello again, PlayStation nation! It's my pleasure to bring you an update about the Invizimals franchise, and my, what an update it is!

Across the next two weeks we'll be launching five separate Invizimals titles digitally across the PS3 and PS Vita, and I'm here to tell you exactly what's on the way.

Today we'll see the digital release of 3 titles - Invizimals, Invizimals: Shadow Zone, and for the first time ever in North America, Invizimals: The Lost Tribes. These first three PSP titles introduced the world to the wonderful cast of Invizimals - and now you'll be able to enjoy them digitally wherever and whenever you like.

All three digital PSP releases have been modified in order to take advantage of the AR Play cards included with every Vita system. As long as you have one AR Play card with you, you'll be ready for whatever Invizimal happens to be hiding nearby.

As if that wasn't enough, next Tuesday, September 30th, will see the launch of both Invizimals: The Alliance for PS Vita and [Register or Login to view links]

Curve Studios Announces Thomas Was Alone Coming Soon to PS4

100°
5w ago - Curve Studios PR and Marketing Manager Rob Clarke announced today that Thomas Was Alone is coming soon to PS4 with details below.

To quote: Here at Curve we've had the pleasure of bringing a variety of games to PlayStation in the last two years, made by a great mix of different indie developers.

Thomas Was Alone was the very first of those games, and its ubiquitous creator Mike Bithell was the first indie developer who we got in touch with. A lifelong PlayStation fan, Mike was genuinely excited by the idea of having the game appear on PS3 and PS Vita, and we had a great time creating that version.

With that in mind, we're now happy to announce that we're bringing Thomas Was Alone to PS4, and it will be available to everyone as a cross buy title. That means if you picked up Thomas on PS3 or PS Vita at any point last year, you'll be able to grab the game completely free on PS4.

If you missed Thomas Was Alone the first time around, the PS4 version will give you a chance to play one of the most popular independent games ever made.

A game about rectangles and friendship, Thomas Was Alone's graphics may be minimalist, but its gameplay is engaging, and the story it tells is quite unlike anything else in gaming. It also has the added bonus of being narrated from start...
