82w ago - Ubisoft PR Specialist Alex Monney has announced that they are now offering deep discounts as part of the PSN sale starting today!
To quote: The month of May brings some of my favorite times of the year. It gives me a chance to step back and look at the gigantic list of PS3 and PSN games that I want to dedicate time to before the end-of-year holiday onslaught.
Even better, it's a perfect time to pick up digital titles that I never had time to play earlier. All this plays perfectly into me saying that Ubisoft is having a huge promotion on our PlayStation Network catalog.
Starting today, you will be able to download a huge selection of our games on the PlayStation Store at 50 percent off for PlayStation Plus members and 30 percent off for all other users. The sale will end on May 22, so act fast!
Ubisoft has an extensive and high-quality PSN catalog. Last year, we saw the launch of some of our best PlayStation Network games to date - From Dust, Outland, Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes and Beyond Good & Evil HD - all which will be in today's promotion.
For those looking to hop into retail games, we have several of our Blu-ray titles available on the PlayStation Store as well.
167w ago - Today PSGroove via French site Logic-Sunrise.com has posted that the PS JailBreak Cloner x3Max (forerly known as x3JailBreak) is now offering what's called the x3Switch for the PS3 Slim.
To quote: "The x3Max team has noticed an inconvenience PS3 Slim users are facing. Unlike PS3 Fat users, Slim users must unplug their cord every time they want to JailBreak their console.
This is due to the lack of an on off switch on the back of Slim models. However, that inconvenience is eliminated with the arrival of the x3Switch.
The x3Switch is a small device with an on-off switch, that plugs into your PS3 Slim and your power cord. This allows the user to turn off their Slim, prior to JailBreaking, without the need to unplug the cord.
The product is going on sale for a suggested retail price of $19.90 and is shipping to retailers now."
167w ago - While PSN cards have been available at retailers for some time now, JoyStiq.com (linked above) reports today that it appears Sony is now offering PlayStation Plus cards at Target as well.
To quote: "You'll soon have an easy way to give the gift of Hulu Plus eligibility and discounts on random PSN games.
Tipster BlindNoir photographed a PlayStation Plus access card found at a Target store, redeemable for one year of membership to the premium service.
Plans for these cards were first (casually) revealed by Sony's Susan Panico in June.
Of course, you could just buy a PSN retail card and use that to pay for a Plus membership (or anything else), but this move gives the fledgling PlayStation Plus more visibility during the holiday shopping season."
