Video: Octodad: Dadliest Catch Flails to PlayStation 4 on Tuesday

50°
31w ago - Sony Creative Director Kevin Zuhn announced today that Octodad: Dadliest Catch flails to PS4 this coming Tuesday with details below.

To quote: Hello octopus fans, I've got great news! Octodad: Dadliest Catch is launching on PlayStation 4 next week!

For those of you unfamiliar with Octodad, he's a normal everyday father with an adoring family, but he just so happens to be an octopus!

Life for him is a neverending struggle to control his wobbly limbs and to conceal his cephalopod secret from his loved ones. In Dadliest Catch, Octodad and his family take a disastrous trip to the aquarium, putting him at odds with marine biologists, a manic sushi chef, and his wife's ever rising suspicions

We started Octodad as a ragtag group of students, and it's been a long and crazy ride getting our silly game on the PS4. This is our first foray into consoles, and we're proud to be here.

We released Octodad on PC back in January, and since then we've taken the time to improve it based on feedback from our players. The latter third of the game in particular has gone through some radical changes, with added challenges like deck swabbing, jig dancing, and new disguises to wear!

Octodad: Dadliest Catch Crashes, Stumbles, and Flops on to PS4

50°
75w ago - Young Horses President & Co-Founder Phil Tibitoski announced at E3 today that Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be crashing, stumbling and flopping on to PS4 / PlayStation 4 console.

To quote: Have you ever felt out of place? Just don't feel you're good enough, no matter how hard you try? Maybe you've got something to hide from the world.

Maybe you're not really the perfect human husband and father of three, but actually an octopus. This is what Octodad: Dadliest Catch is all about. You have a loving wife. You have adorable kids. They, however, have no idea of your secret cephalopod nature.

[Register or Login to view links] is the first slapstick fatherhood simulator, and we're excited to say that we'll be bringing it to the PlayStation 4 in 2014.

You may be asking yourself, "Well, what's so difficult about being an octopus?"

Well, first off, you're an invertebrate, so you have no bones. Your body is gelatinous. As you can imagine, that makes it hard to simply move around outside of water.

All those things we humans take for granted, like counteracting gravity, are a constant challenge. Oh, and you have eight arms you've managed to stuff into a fancy suit to form a human shape. There are...
