Naughty Dog is one of my favorite game making companies of all time. Creating great game series like Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter and Uncharted, it's hard to compare them with any other game company with games like that in their arsenal.

It appears Microsoft is now including the most recent major Dashboard Update on new game discs, specifically the Summer/Fall 09 update that brings the NXE dash to 8498.

As a result, they are closing the exploit used for the Free60 JTAG/SMC XeLL (Linux homebrew) hack.

To quote: "The first game confirmed to have this update on the disc is Cars Race-O-Rama. They...

Today xZool2k9 has released a video demonstrating the upcoming Free60 Homebrew Exploit for XBox 360 consoles.

The video is available below, and to quote from the caption:

I slapped the 'rumor' status on this one for now until others can confirm it... today TheSixthAxis.com (linked above) via CVG are claiming that Sony finally pushed the button marked "obligatory" on PS3 Firmware Update 2.80.

This comes after Sony's Director of Network Operations stated that with 2.8 it was an option to update as there wasn't any consumer-specific functionality.

Although it is still some time away (Super_Secret predicts PS3 Firmware 3.0 won't be out during the summer, but before the holidays) the folks at VG247 (linked above) have uncovered some additional details on it.

To quote: The software upgrade has been described to us as “a huge overhaul”, and was compared to NXE “in some respects”.

The before-rumored reputation...

Here is a 5-round match between PSN and XBL. For each round, the contenders can get up to five points. The five rounds will be features, online play, ease of use, content, and bang for the buck.

Round 1. It's All About the Features

I think we all know which will get the higher score in this round. The PlayStation Network has improved rapidly since its debut. At first, compared to XBL, psn was...
