9w ago - Today the XCM Team have unveiled a demo video below and details on their new MaxPlay Adapter for the Wii U console which allows gamers to play their Nintendo games inside the vehicle now.

To quote from their official page: MaxPlay Usage Manual Functions & Features:

Play Wii U games via Wii U gamepad controller in your car! Not only for playing the Wii U games in front of your TV, you are also able to play the Wii U games via Wii U gamepad controller by using the Maxplay adapter inside the vehicle, finally something entertaining in a car, it should be great news for passengers

30w ago - Following up on the Wii U Specifications with the US launch being today, NeoGAF user Trike has already uncovered what appears to be a Wii U Miiverse Debug Menu with details below.

Also of note, a Nintendo Wii U Teardown Guide is now available followed by a second Nintendo Wii U Teardown Tutorial and Geoff Keighley of GameTrailers TV has Tweeted that: The Wii U Firmware update is apparently about 5 gigs. No wonder it takes about an hour+ to download.

Additionally, the Wii U is able to run Nintendo Wii homebrew at launch (WiiXplorer ELF) and run Wii U games Off an SD Card, as demonstrated in the videos below!

40w ago - Today Nintendo's president Satoru Iwata confirmed Wii U specs (PDF) during a Japanese presentation alongside Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime discussing the Wii U retail bundles release date, pricing, specifications and launch software.

Below are the details and video, as follows:

The Nintendo Wii U will launch in the US on November 18, 2012 for $299.99 for the basic 8GB version and $349.99 for the deluxe 32GB version that comes complete with extra accessories and the Nintendo Land video game.

In Europe Nintendo's Wii U handheld will launch on November 30, and in Japan the Wii U will launch on December 8, 2012 costing 26,250 Yen for the basic model and 31,000 Yen for the premium model and will also have 8GB and 32GB capacity respectively.

This storage will be used for game saves, game data, and other content downloaded from the Nintendo Network. Wii U game discs will be 25GB each so by the looks of it game installs won't be possible, well not on launch at least. Both SKUs will include HDMI cables an AC adapters for the console and Wii U Gamepad. The Wii U measures 46 mm x 172 mm x 268.5 mm horizontally, it can also be placed vertically.

64w ago - On this April Fool's Day a group of PlayStation 3 developers going by the name of athen5cl0ne have released what they call 910D0 Beta, a purported all-in-one Nintendo emulator for the PS3 entertainment system that claims to support NES, SNES, GameBoy, GBC, GBA, Nintendo DS, 3DS, Nintendo 64, GameCube and Wii titles.

According to soratheultima some emulation (including 3DS, GameCube and Wii) isn't possible yet, however, tthousand reports that they have uncovered a major flaw in running Nintendo code on the PS3 console and that a more detailed guide is incoming.

Although several users have noted it only crashes for them (even with the proper ROMs and BIOS) those interested can give it a try and share your results below with the included PKG files.
