Joe Danger on PlayStation Vita: 2 Full Games, 3 New Characters

50°
3w ago - Hello Games developer Alex Wiltshire announced that Joe Danger on PlayStation Vita features 2 full fames and 3 new characters.

Below are the details, to quote: Hello I'm Alex! I work with Sean and the gang at Hello Games.

We made Joe Danger, the super-colorful, super-challenging racey platformy series starring a fat little stuntman! People have seemed to like it loads, calling it all kinds of nice things like "astounding" (Official PlayStation Magazine) and "perfect" (Game Informer).

So, you might remember that we're bringing Joe Danger to PS Vita, and I'm here to tell you that we're nearly finished! Also, I wanted to tell you some super special news.

So first up, both of our big-console games, Joe Danger and its sequel, Joe Danger 2: The Movie, are running on PS Vita at a smooth-as-butter 60 frames a second, looking clean as you like, and they play so, so nicely in your hands.

60FPS has always been so important to us, because that's how the games we grew up with ran. So it's fantastic that Vita can make it happen, especially since it totally looks just as good as the PS3 version. We're pushing about 400k polys a frame, which is pretty amazing. It loads real fast too.

You won't believe the work that's gone into making this happen - our friends...

DC Universe Online: New Characters, Operations and More

50°
12w ago - DC Universe Online Executive Producer Larry Liberty shared details today on new characters, operations and more below.

To quote: The War of the Light has begun! The first of a three-part series of DLC Packs, War of the Light Part I will incorporate several of the fantastic additions to the Green Lantern canon of the past few years.

We'll be adding even more Green Lantern depth to DC Universe Online over the course of the trilogy. Part I will feature new four-player and eight-player Operations, new Legends characters, and a new Red Lantern-inspired power - Rage.

New Operations

Launching with War of the Light Part I is a new version of Metropolis, separate from the version in the core game. Set just after the events of Braniac's Battle for Earth, it will be the canvas on which the entire War of the Light Trilogy of DLCs will be drawn.

In part one, mysterious colored mists have appeared in the city. The mists are beginning to alter the behavior of the citizens of Metropolis, causing them to exhibit emotions linked to those colors: topaz elicits fear, crimson mist - rage, azure - hope, emerald - determination, and purple - love.

The various Lantern Corps have come to Earth to determine what connection these mists have with the Emotional...

Knack on PS4: Unlockable Characters and Challenge Modes

50°
18w ago - Sony Game Director Mark Cerny shared details on unlockable characters and challenge modes in Knack on PS4 below today.

To quote: Knack launched alongside PS4 in every territory, and now that there's been some time for the players to get up to speed on our game, I wanted to talk a bit more about the unlockable features waiting within.

As you probably know, there are hidden treasure chests in secret rooms scattered throughout the story which contain random items.

Some of those items are parts of gadgets that will help Knack in his quest; however the treasure chests also contain more exotic items called Crystal Relics.

There are six different types of Crystal Relics, and if you collect enough of one type, you can unlock a special Knack that can be used when replaying the game, or in one of the challenge modes that you unlock upon beating the game.

For example, collecting 15 Ruby Relics unlocks Vampire Knack, who has stronger attacks, but also a weakness - he's slowly melting, Parts drop off his body and he loses health as he fights. He can replenish that health by defeating enemies, so in a sense he's sucking their energy into himself!

So as soon as you collect the required 15 Ruby Relics, you can start the game from the beginning, playing this time...

Video: Telltale's Poker Night 2 Goes All-In: New Characters Arrive

50°
53w ago - Telltale Games Producer Adam Sarasohn announced today news of new characters including Brock Samson, Ash, Claptrap, GLaDOS, and more in Poker Night 2 alongside a video below.

To quote: You may be familiar with Telltale's episodic games like The Walking Dead or the recently announced series The Wolf Among Us, but I'm here today to discuss the latest game that we've been working on €" Telltale Games' Poker Night 2.

We got some of the best characters from film, television and video games to sit down at our table to play a few hands of Hold 'Em and Omaha.

On top of that, the game is bursting with unlockable content: you can unlock new decks, chips and felts, which can cause the Inventory (the venue for the game€s chicanery) to take on a whole new look. You'll even unlock items outside of the game.

But first, let's talk about the characters you'll be facing at the table. To your immediate left looms Brock Samson, the (former) bodyguard to the Venture Family from Adult Swim's Venture Bros. This guy just oozes cool, but don€t think about stealing his chips, because he has a license to kill and he's not afraid to use it.

He literally plays his cards close...
