To quote: Calling all golf fans! Update 1.04 for Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational on PlayStation Vita goes live this evening! Here's what to expect the next time you hit the fairways:
Invite friends to play in private tournaments
Whereas before you could only play in Real Mode tournaments that were open to all, now you can create private tournaments for you and up to seven friends, as well as private rooms in the online lobby space.
Out on the course, you'll be able to see your opponent's ball after each shot, and between holes you can also use text chat to communicate with your friends, on the scorecard screen.
Stroke Mode (Head-to-Head)
Previously Ad-Hoc only. A head-to-head competition for two players, where the golfer with the best results at the end of a round wins. You'll be able to chat with and heckle your opponent between holes.
Match Mode (Head-to-Head)
Previously Ad-Hoc only. This is also a head-to-head competition for two players, but this time it's the first competitor to get to 3UP status during a...
138w ago - Naughty Dog Community Strategist Arne Meyer has shared a new video today spotlighting Uncharted 3 PS3 multiplayer modes, and confirmed that the PlayStation 3 Beta arrives on June 28, 2011.
To quote: Just a few days ago we hosted a large press event with editors from the US and Europe where we gave everyone a first taste of our expansive multiplayer mode in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.
First off, Uncharted 3 multiplayer is a complete evolution from the initial foray we made into multiplayer with Uncharted 2.
The leap forward in gameplay, technology – not the least of which is 3D stereoscopic support – and depth is nothing short of astounding, no joke.
Our goal has always been to take the signature Uncharted gameplay and our penchant for awesome set-piece moments to serve as the key building blocks for creating a multiplayer experience like no other. We dipped our toe in with Uncharted 2. Now, with Uncharted 3, we're diving in headfirst.
The Uncharted 3 Multiplayer trailer, which was JUST...
247w ago - Capcom officially announced today that they will be adding new head to head multiplayer modes to Resident Evil 5 after the game is launched.
There will be two modes, the first (Slayer's Rule) is a point based system where you compete to kill the most Majinis while the second (Survivor's Rule) has you trying to kill eatch other.
The modes will allow you to play mano e mano or paired up with a friend against two enemies and will set you back $4.99 for the PSN version or 400 MS points for the Xbox 360 version. While it does seem like something that should have shipped with the game I'm glad Capcom isn't charging a lot for the new features.

289w ago - Update: Rumor officially debunked. Cliff Bleszinski popped up on the NeoGAF boards to discredit these supposed EGM GoW2 details saying that whoever published this news is making it up. Thanks for the clarification Cliffy.
We've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of EGM's special July issue featuring Gears of War 2 awesomeness that's set to hit newsstands on June 3rd. But, if the rumors are true, we won't have to wait until June to get the new feature reveals, because a helpful EGM subscriber claims to have already received his July issue and has spilled all the exclusive Gears 2 deets.
Over on the GameSpot forums, member Prosecut0rGodot claims to have already received a copy of EGM's July issue and posted a recap of all the new Gears 2 details that were revealed. If true, EGM is said to reveal new GoW2 features including co-op specific cut-scenes and decisions that'll affect the game's ending, a brand new stamina bar has been added and will dictate a player's performance, a never before seen "Acheron" Locust creature will make an appearance and two new multiplayer modes were announced including the chainsaws only "En-Garde" mode.
A few other goodies were supposedly revealed, so make your way towards the break to read the entire list of the rumored GoW2 info.
