To quote: Attention MotorStorm fans! MotorStorm RC - one of the most popular PSN games of the year - has just received a community-focused update and I'm here to give you all the details!
Beginning today, MotorStorm RC fans will have access to new tracks to try out for free, experience fun and more accessible races, the chance to share challenges whenever you like, and recover lost medals!
Please note that it can take up to an hour for the update to be available in all territories. You will be prompted to download this game update when you next fire up the game from the PS3 XMB or PS Vita LiveArea.
It doesn't matter if you're new to MotorStorm RC or if you've been playing from the start: This update makes MotorStorm RC better for you and your friends. I might be a little biased, but it's definitely worth a look if you've got a PS3 or a PS Vita - and even more so if you have both! So please give it a go and tell your friends about it too.
Jamie Brayshaw: What does the update do for MotorStorm RC?
Paul Rustchynsky, Game Director: There's been lots of activity in MotorStorm...
63w ago - Sony Director of Network Advertising David Winding has announced today that MotorStorm RC will be driving to PS Vita for FREE courtesy of Scion!
To quote: Back in November, we revealed that Evolution Studios was working on a new title, MotorStorm RC, which would be released in the US as a downloadable game for both the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita.
The game received critical praise when it launched in the UK two weeks ago.
We think you'll agree that the wait was worth it, as we are pleased to not only announce that the PS3 version will be available beginning tomorrow separately for $9.99 ($7.49 for PlayStation Plus subscribers), but to also let you know that the PS Vita version of MotorStorm RC will also be available as a free download thanks to our partners at Scion.
That's right- for a limited time, the complete Vita MotorStorm RC game is available for download absolutely free - no additional purchases necessary!
Not only that, but you'll be able to drive a custom RC version of Scion's iQ which is exclusive to the PS Vita version of the game. And be sure to check out the plethora of downloadable content which will become available for purchase for both versions of the game tomorrow.
64w ago - As previously reported, PlayStation Vita developer wololo has now released the PS Vita Half Byte Loader (VHBL) and updated the source code for the Motorstorm Arctic Edge buffer overflow exploit according to plan!
To quote: If you are lucky enough to be one of the few owners of Motorstorm Arctic Edge, VHBL is now available for download.
Please report Success/Failure here or on our forums (wololo.net/talk). As you will see, installing homebrews is a bit of a pain, so if you’re a good hearted guy who understands my explanations in the readme, please feel free to share homebrews packaged “correctly”...
64w ago - Following up on the previous update, today PS Vita homebrew developer wololo has revealed the game used for the PlayStation Vita Half Byte Loader (VHBL) is Motorstorm Arctic Edge (Motorstorm Raging Ice in Japan) and shared a video of it in action below!
As a result, Sony has officially removed the Motorstorm Arctic Edge title from PlayStation Store.
To quote: "Ok, so, since the PSN maintenance is being postponed, there is no reason for me to not give the name of the game used by Teck4 for his exploit:
The Game is Motorstorm Arctic Edge, also known as Motorstorm Raging Ice in Japan. It is available for 19.99 euro on most European Playstation Stores, 15.99 Pounds in the UK, and for 3800 yen on the Japanese store.
Note for North American readers: that game, despite being available on the US Store, is marked as not compatible with the Vita in the US. People who have bought it in the US and tried to transfer it to their vita have failed as far as I know, which is why a few days ago I recommended people in the US to get a European PSN account.
Now what's next?
Well it's simple and stressful at the same time: I'm giving you guys...
65w ago - Today Game Director Paul Rustchynsky announced alongside a video trailer that MotorStorm RC hits both PS Vita and PS3 on March 6, 2012 with details below.
To quote: MotorStorm RC has very humble beginnings. It started out as a simple concept we were playing around with during lunch times, a pet project to challenge each other to set the fastest times, originally using post-its on the wall as a low-fi leaderboard!
Through a lot of love, care, and attention, MotorStorm RC has been transformed into the most exciting and addictive racing game we've ever created. It gives me great pleasure to finally be able to share that experience with you all - MotorStorm RC will be available on March 6th for both PS Vita and PS3 from the North American PlayStation Store.
See how much fun it is for yourself by picking up the free demo when the full game hits PlayStation Store on March 6th, and check out the extremely rare vehicles while you're there...if that sort of thing takes your fancy.
So much to do! MotorStorm RC revisits the extreme locations its bigger brothers put on the map: battling around the rocks and mesas of Monument Valley, crashing through jungles and tearing up the sandy beaches of Pacific Rift, sliding...
