PSN MotorStorm-ed by Sigma add-ons

377w ago - September began with a deluge of content being loaded onto Sony's PlayStation Network. In addition to five demos, the first week of the month saw add-on packs for MotorStorm and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Though understandably not as robust, Sony is ending September in much the same way, with add-ons for Ninja Gaiden redux part deux and Phil Harrison's most favorite racer, as well as a pair of demos landing on the PlayStation Network this week.

Tecmo has released its second of three planned add-ons for Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Whereas the Weapon Master add-on tasked players with surviving using a limited set of weapons, the new Speed Master download puts players under a time and power-gauge limit in five survival modes. As with the first, the mode includes leaderboards and is available for $2.99. Fans of Sony Europe's off-road racer now have the Castro Capitano racing truck to cake with mud. As with the four rides released earlier this month, the Castro Capitano costs $0.99 to download.

As reported earlier this week, a trial of Clive Barker's supernatural spooker has been added to the PSN. In the demo, players will attempt to survive in the city of Al-Khali during the Crusades. MotorStorm add-on leads PSN rally

380w ago - Leading this week's offerings are add-on packs for Evolution Studios' dirt racer MotorStorm and Team Ninja's action game Ninja Gaiden Sigma. The MotorStorm Weekend Add-On Pack includes a new track, four new vehicles, nine additional races, and a new online mode and is available for $5.99. The new vehicles waiting to be caked with mud are the Wakazashi Razor bike, Wombat Mudslide ATV, Atlast Varjack mudplugger, and Atlas Arizona big rig. Each vehicle is also available as a stand-alone download for $0.99.

Also available is the Ninja Gaiden Sigma Weapons Master Add-On for $2.99. The first of three planned updates, the Weapons Master pack augments the game with five survival modes.

The PlayStation 3's growing pile of game demos also expands by two this week. Though the full version of Midway's Stranglehold was pushed back to September 25, the free trial can now be had on the PSN. EA Sports is also passing off its third demo in two weeks to the service with a trial of NBA Live 08. NBA Live 08 will officially take the court October 2.
