15w ago - Polyphony Digital Inc Community Manager Eric Fishback announced today that Gran Turismo 6 update 1.12 is now released, featuring new cars, tracks, and game modes!

To quote: Hello GT Fans, We're happy to announce that Update 1.12 is now available to download for GT6.

This update brings a host of new features and content. Here is just a taste of what's now available:

Toyota FT1 Vision Gran Turismo

The "TOYOTA FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo" has been released on "Gran Turismo 6″, available exclusively on PS3. The design concept FT-1 is honed to perfection in this rendition to enhance its features and designs required for pure racing competition.

The designers' original intention in designing the FT-1 was to unabashedly appeal to the die-hard car enthusiasts. This car can be earned by completing just one lap (regardless of lap time) in the new limited time FT-1 Seasonal Event.

Online Quick Match

Quick Match is a simple online racing mode that lets you take part in events with pre-determined regulations. When each individual event is entered, player matching takes place automatically, followed by the race itself. By selecting "Quick Match" from the My Home screen you can now quickly and easily join a race with players around...

Resogun Heroes Out Today: New World, New Modes, New Trophies

50°
27w ago - XDEV Producer Ian Pickles announced that Resogun Heroes is out today featuring a new world, new modes and new PS4 trophies below.

To quote: Hey there PlayStation Nation! Ian Pickles here, Producer at XDEV Studio Europe Back again as promised to give you some information about our new expansion: Resogun Heroes.

For those who missed our recent blog post regarding the free game update, feel free to go catch yourself up and come right back... we'll wait.

So let's get right to it - this is our first major expansion for Resogun, and we've spent a lot of time making sure in terms of playability and enjoyment it's right up there with the main game. We've got a couple of new modes, and it all centers around our new world: Avernus.

Welcome to Avernus

In Greek mythology, Avernus was the gate to The Underworld - not a very nice place. Our own futuristic homage to this mythical gateway is a dark, foreboding planet where the Sentients retreated to after you kicked their asses and saved the last humans.

Avernus is a dark place full of new enemies and the mysterious...

Ubisoft Details Far Cry 4 Co-op Modes for PS4 and PlayStation 3

50°
29w ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Kim Belair detailed the Far Cry 4 Co-op Modes for PS4 and PlayStation 3 consoles today at E3 2014.

To quote: The open world of Kyrat is an incredible place. Behind the beauty of its mountain peaks and lush valleys, the splendour of its flora and fauna, a civil war is raging.

And on November 18th 2014, Far Cry 4 puts you in the middle of the fight, in a nation where one false step is as likely to land you in an enemy outpost as in the jaws of a hungry tiger.

It's a good thing you don't have to go it alone.

Far Cry 4 features drop-in/drop-out "Guns for Hire" Co-Op, meaning that you and a friend can take on the wilds of Kyrat as a pair, exploring the world, taking down enemies and generally making everything as precise or as chaotic as you choose. Both players get experience, both players get in-game cash, and both players have an awesome time.

Better yet, play the game on PS3 or PS4 and you'll get a set of "Keys to Kyrat". The keys open up Kyrat's borders to any of your PSN friends, inviting them into your open world even if they don't yet have a copy of the game. Capture outposts together, traverse Kyrat and make gains with anybody you know-or everybody you...

Resogun: New Modes, Ship Editor, and More Hitting PS4 This Month

50°
29w ago - Housemarque's Mikael Haveri announced today that new modes, a ship editor, and more are hitting Resogun on PS4 this month!

To quote: Great news everyone - the humans are back!

The explosive PS4 launch title, RESOGUN, is finally getting more content in the form of the Heroes expansion and a complimentary patch.

RESOGUN: Heroes will introduce two brand new modes: 'Survival'' and 'Demolition'. In essence, Survival is an endless mode that retains a lot of the core mechanics from the original Arcade mode. We switched up a few things, like scoring, and gave the humans parachutes as you can see in the image below.

The Day/Night cycle is another prominent feature of the new Survival mode. As you play, the varying time of day provides a great aesthetic and visual indicator, letting you know how far you have come.

Survival mode is for players who know they can always do a bit better. There are a lot of cool new things to learn while you take the ride, but as we intend to stay true to the arcade feeling, we will let you discover the twists yourself.

Demolition is my personal favorite, and a quantum leap from the original gameplay mechanics. "Arkanoid meets RESOGUN" is one way to sum...

Knack on PS4: Unlockable Characters and Challenge Modes

50°
54w ago - Sony Game Director Mark Cerny shared details on unlockable characters and challenge modes in Knack on PS4 below today.

To quote: Knack launched alongside PS4 in every territory, and now that there's been some time for the players to get up to speed on our game, I wanted to talk a bit more about the unlockable features waiting within.

As you probably know, there are hidden treasure chests in secret rooms scattered throughout the story which contain random items.

Some of those items are parts of gadgets that will help Knack in his quest; however the treasure chests also contain more exotic items called Crystal Relics.

There are six different types of Crystal Relics, and if you collect enough of one type, you can unlock a special Knack that can be used when replaying the game, or in one of the challenge modes that you unlock upon beating the game.

For example, collecting 15 Ruby Relics unlocks Vampire Knack, who has stronger attacks, but also a weakness - he's slowly melting, Parts drop off his body and he loses health as he fights. He can replenish that health by defeating enemies, so in a sense he's sucking their energy into himself!

So as soon as you collect the required 15 Ruby Relics, you can start the game from the beginning, playing this time...
