10 Reasons why MGO beats CoD4 Multi-player

50°
326w ago - Well I've been playing MGO a lot lately. Matter of fact it's all I've been playing. I used to play COD4 everyday but now that I have MGO COD4 has been collecting more dust than my PS3. While playing MGO I've come to the conclusion... MGO is better than COD4s Multiplayer.

Here are my 10 Reasons why:

1. Metal Gear Online customizations whoop the ass of COD4s. You can customize the guns and the outfit your guy is wearing. Plus if you do good you earn more guns and newer outfits. Just like COD4s rank system but better.

2. The Stat tracking system is a million times more in depth than COD4s "Barracks". It keeps your personal stats, matches played has leader boards and clan management. There's really nothing missing here.

3. The graphics are beautiful. On par with Singleplayers cut-scenes. With the same amazingly detailed textures and great frame rate.

4. Sons of the Patriots system is the air support. It can expose the enemy you can tag enemies so they can't just sneak around and catch you with your pants down. What does a UAV do? NOTHING! Compared to the SOP.

5. MGO has some of the best game modes I've ever seen. COD4 has the same game 3 modes just with slight tweaks. While MGO has a 5+ different amazing game modes that you can't get tired...

PS Blog: Don't worry MGO is not a Paid Subscription service

50°
333w ago - The US PS Blog has revealed the full details of the new map for MGO and the new gametype rule, Sneaking Mission.

Also, they have clarified that "MGO is not a paid subscription service, you can play online totally free right out of the box - we know some of you thought there might be some payment because of the last step of Konami ID registration, but that is to confirm your identity for future potential microtransaction content updates (you don't have to register any payment info right now anyhow)."

To quote: Hi all! Welcome back to Metal Gear Mondays! It's certainly been a busy week, and once again, we'd like to take a second to thank you for all the great compliments and feedback from our previous installments - and of course, your enthusiasm for all that is Metal Gear!

We'll pick up where we left off ... As many of you know, gameplay of the Metal Gear Online Beta for the PLAYSTATION 3 is well underway as of the time of this post - please see the last bunch of Metal Gear PS Blog posts for full details on the Metal Gear Online Beta program and content to date.

First, we'd like to clarify, once again, because we see people still asking about this - Metal Gear Online comes with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. It is not a separate product. Metal Gear Online...

MGO BETA gets new Map and Mode via Update

50°
333w ago - The European BETA of Metal Gerar Online has has been updated. The update includes a new mid-sized map called Midtown Maelstrom.

Also included is a new gameplay mode called "sneaking Mission" in which one player can play as Snake.

To quote: As for the new gameplay mode, we expect the Sneaking Mission to be incredibly popular for the sole reason that Snake is a playable character.

One player takes on his role, complete with OctoCamo, Solid Eye and other handy items (how does he carry so much stuff while sneaking around?). The aim is to move silently around the map trying to collect dog tags by defeating other players.

If more than ten people are playing then another player takes the role of Metal Gear Mk II in order to help out Snake. Meanwhile two teams battle it out as usual.
