70w ago - LightBox Interactive President Dylan Jobe has announced alongside a video that the Starhawk: Free Cypress PS3 Map Pack is incoming with update 1.03 today!
To quote: Some of you may have seen my last blog post about the release of War of the Monsters as a PS Classic for PlayStation 3 and at the end of that post I mentioned the release of our next update for Starhawk was right around the corner!
Well...we are now around that corner and I can tell you that we are "GO" for our global release of the Starhawk 1.03 Update today at 2pm Central Time! I am saying "GO" as if I were a super-cool NASA scientist in the Curiosity control room!
While the release of our 1.03 Update pales in comparison to the massive achievement of landing an SUV-sized robot on Mars (thanks NASA!). The 1.03 release will nonetheless make many Earthlings very happy!
"OK Dylan, what's the patch got?" - Says the snarky gamer from the back corner of the internet. Tons of new stuff! There are player-requested features, an increased level cap, bug-fixes, and of course two new FREE maps on the planet of Cypress! Here's the breakdown of everything we developed for you guys in the 1.03 Update.
94w ago - Today Sony Associate Product Manager Ken Chan has announced that the Uncharted: Golden Abyss Treasure Map DLC Pack is slated to arrive this Wednesday for PlayStation Vita fans.
To quote: There are literally hundreds of treasures and artifacts in UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss that help tell the backstories of the game's locations and characters, and all are tied to Trophies.
To provide some extra incentive to explore every nook and cranny in the game, we added hidden paths throughout every level – finding everything will be a challenge!
But we also decided to create Treasure Maps for those who want all the game's Trophies but who aren't keen on exploration, or just want a hint now and then.
Since UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss is a portable game, it's not always easy to hop online and look up an FAQ. For that reason, we decided to offer DLC that integrates the Treasure Maps directly into Drake's Journal.
When you buy and install the maps, a new Treasure Map Icon appears on the Chapter page for each level. Tap the icon to bring up the map.
You'll be greeted with a full-screen image of the level showing all of its major landmarks and the locations of rubbings, photos, artifacts, treasures and Mysteries. And in case you were wondering, there are 34 maps...
128w ago - DrinkBox Studios CTO & Designer Chris Harvey has announced today news of a new Tales From Space: About a Blob Co-op Map Pack hitting PSN soon.
To quote: Greetings once again, opaque and bipedal earthlings! It's been awhile since I, Orange Blob, have been in touch. You may remember me from my PSN game Tales from Space: About a Blob, where I grew and consumed your world and all its inhabitants.
I've been away recently, you see, visiting a strange and unusual planet in a not-too-distant solar system. I was accompanied by my good friend Green Blob. It's nice to travel with friends, although Green Blob sometimes snores.
Exploring an alien planet is not for the faint of heart. Throughout our adventures, we were often confronted by tricky alien contraptions that required BOTH of us to get past. All this puzzle solving leaves a Blob feeling pretty hungry. Luckily, we were able to sample some local delicacies, i.e. the alien life-forms. They taste exactly like chicken.
Once again, the folks over at DrinkBox Studios have been kind enough to re-create our adventures in video-game form. If you have a friend nearby, toss them a controller and see if you can put your brains together to solve these wacky alien puzzles!
