133w ago - Last week we reported on the MAG Escalation expansion patch heading to PlayStation 3, and now Jeremy Dunham has confirmed that the add-on pack and PS3 patch v2.02a will arrive today- November 4, 2010.
To quote: Our MAG "Escalation" add-on pack has seen a short delay from its original release date of November 2. The good news is that the postponement is a short one and that our new DLC will be available starting tomorrow, November 4.
As a thank you to our loyal fans, we've activated a "Double XP" bonus of +100% to MAG as a whole, which stacks with other in-game bonuses for quite an XP haul (note: the "Directives" queue will not award extra XP during this period).
As of yesterday, we've also kept our originally-planned price drop for the first MAG add-on pack, "Interdiction," to $4.99 (US).
In addition, as some of you may have already discovered through PSN promotional materials, we're also offering a special discount of $7.99 (US) on the "Escalation" DLC pack!
This promotion will be offered to anyone who previously purchased Interdiction at its original price prior to 12am Pacific Time, October 28, 2010*. The discounted price for...

To quote: This past summer, many of you took part in our latest MAG Beta program to help us test out a number of new features slated for our recently released update, MAG 2.0, and future DLC.
Thanks to your devotion, we gathered a surplus of fantastic data that allowed us to make MAG a better game... and we're not done yet!
Though the MAG 2.0 patch has been available since the end of September, the DLC portion of the beta has remained unreleased -- but not for too much longer.
Starting on the 3rd of November, our three faction gunplay whirlwind, the "Escalation" Add-on Pack, will be available for download from the PlayStation Store for €7.99/£6.29!
If you didn't get a chance to play it in our MAG Beta, the Escalation add-on supports up to 96 players, or one 32-man platoon for each PMC, as a separate in-game mode that pits the forces of Raven, SVER, and Valor against each other at the same time.

135w ago - A few weeks back the MAG 2.0 PS3 Patch was released and some users reported freezing issues as a result of the update, but today Chris Roper has announced that the 2.01 patch update should remedy them.
To quote: "The release of MAG 2.0 represented the culmination of months of work on our end and marked what was easily the biggest collection of overall improvements to the game since its debut in January.
Not everything was perfect, however, as some users have reported freezing issues since MAG 2.0′s release, but today's 2.01 patch should clear most everything up.
It's a short, but sweet, update that aims to fix a handful of important stability issues, and also adds in a couple voiceover messages. Enjoy!
Patch v2.01 - Available October 13, 2010 | 34MB (TPPS)
• Voiceover plays when vehicles are extracted in Acquisition
• Voiceover calls out sensor abilities when mortar battery is down
• Various stability improvements"
