188w ago - Update: RPGSite.net has now revealed that EA's official Russian Web site also lists Mass Effect 2 as being for Xbox 360, PC and PS3, however, BioWare has simply issued a 'no comment' on it.

To date, BioWare has neither confirmed or denied the existence of a PS3 version of Mass Effect 2.

However, JustPushStart.com (linked above) has uncovered a listing on retailer giant GAME's Web site for a PlayStation 3 version set to release on 10/01/2010 with an item code of MASSEFPS3.

The listing currently shows an unknown publisher and developer, and to quote:

"There's been rumor that Mass Effect titles will be ported to the PlayStation 3 but up until now, no official confirmation. Whether or not this is true is truly up to Bioware if they ever decide to put it on the PlayStation 3. As of now, we will have this as a rumor.

Mass Effect 2 is slated to come out early next year for the XBOX 360 and PC early next year."

195w ago - Apparently Gran Turismo 5 is coming out on May 5, 2010... at least that is what can be concluded from a Newegg (linked above) pre-order listing for the game which is selling for $56.99.

Here's to hoping that its not accurate and GT5 comes sooner to silence the Forza 3 fans.

196w ago - Sony's worst-kept secret this year appears to be the PS3 Slim, as retailer KMart is now listing the PlayStation 3 Slim for $299 with a launch date of August 24, 2009.

It's also currently displayed on KMart's main page HERE with the slogan "The rumors are reality." and includes a 120GB HDD, with the description as follows:

"PS3, SLIM High-Definition Blu-ray player for the best movie experience. Free PLAYSTATION Network membership. 120GB HDD for downloading games, music, videos, and photos. Includes DUAL SHOCK 3 controller. HDMI output for 1080p resolution."

The Sony GamesCom press conference is expected to confirm details of the new SKU later today, at approximately 12:30 EST.

196w ago - Today PS3Center.net (linked above) reports that UK retailer ASDA has cut the price of the 80GB PlayStation 3, offering the console and 2 selected games for just £250.

Choice of games included are either LittleBigPlanet and Ghostbusters, Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 or Terminator and InFamous.

Swedish site DiscShop.se is now listing the PS3 Slim... noting that it's expected this fall and potential buyers should keep an eye out for updates on when pre-orders for the console will be available.

Finally, KokuGamer.com is reporting that an image (below) posted on Sony's European PlayStation boards shows a picture of a plastic case with a PS3 flyer in it saying "Pre Order Now. New PS3 Available September 2009. Limited Stock. $50 Despoit Require."

They speculate this is likely a new PS3 SKU, a brand new console altogether or even the rumored PS3 slim. We'll all know for certain this week as GamesCom commences.
