3w ago - Insomniac Games Community Lead James Stevenson shared a new Fuse trailer confirming that the demo lights up PSN on Tuesday.
Below are the details, to quote: We've been working on Fuse, our first new console game IP since Resistance: Fall of Man, for several years now. The wait is almost over - Fuse launches May 28th on PlayStation 3. For an early taste of Fuse, grab the demo - it launches on PSN next Tuesday.
The demo will allow you to experience lethal teamwork with up to three friends online (or 2-player split-screen). Overstrike 9 has tracked the stolen Fuse source to a remote Raven base in Pakistan's snowy Karakoram Mountains.
The team must stop rogue group Raven from carrying out its horrific plan to form a new world order. The section of the demo comes from around the halfway point of the game, so we've powered up the four characters a bit to give you a sample of all their capabilities (and you can level them up further!)
Now, some of you may be asking, what is this game? We'd like to say Fuse is what you'd get if you took the dry humor and lethal teamwork from Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and combined it with the alien weaponry from District 9.
It's a uniquely Insomniac universe, one where villains occupy strongholds in exotic locations...
31w ago - Frima Studio Executive Producer Martin Brouard has confirmed alongside a video trailer that Lights, Camera, Party PlayStation Move DLC is out today!
To quote: Lights, Camera, Party! fans: Today we are launching new DLC called The Good, the Bad and the Monkey! The DLC pack contains 10 new minigames as well as a new game mode called The Duel.
Six additional trophies and 40 additional in-game awards are also part of the package. You do not want to miss this opportunity to PARTY ON!
Duel mode lets you play six rounds of mini games head to head against another player in order to defeat your opponent and win a classic high noon showdown. Of course all 60 LCP minigames can show up in the Duel.
The team has decided to give an interesting twist to this DLC by focusing on exploiting the most challenging and entertaining gestures with the PlayStation Move.
The themes of the new minigames are as silly as ever, and include:
• Eating corn on a cob (as a monkey!)
• Shaking the hell out of a banana-shooting coconut tree
• Stopping a rampaging Funzaur using a laser-beaming satellite
• Keeping Ape TV's studio afloat by fixing its monkey-busted monitors
36w ago - Insomniac Games Creative Director Brian Allgeier has announced today that they are lighting the Fuse, a title that was formerly known as Overstrike.
Below are the details, to quote: Hi everyone! After a long journey navigating the sometimes-challenging waters of new IP development, we're proud to reveal Fuse.
Fuse, formerly known as Overstrike, is a third person, four-player cooperative game that centers around a volatile energy source that has fallen into the wrong hands.
The substance, called Fuse, has been acquired by a terrorist organization known as Raven and Overstrike 9 has been hired to track down and stop it from setting off a deadly arms race.
You can play with up to three of your friends, and each member of Overstrike 9 has its own signature Fuse-powered weapon. Play as Dalton Brooks, an ex-mercenary who has a Mag-shield that acts as portable cover and unleashes a devastating blast that liquefies opponents.
Take on the role of Naya Deveraux, who can cloak to flank enemies and fire out mini-black holes that implode its victims. As Jacob Kimble, you can keep enemies at a distance with the Arc Shot and shoot out charged bolts that chain react and fry enemies.
Then there's Izzy Sinclair, who can either launch out med beacons to heal teammates...
38w ago - Frima Studio Executive Producer Martin Brouard has announced today alongside a launch trailer video that Lights, Camera, Party arrives on PlayStation Network today.
To quote: After years in development, release day is finally upon us! We're proud to share Lights, Camera, Party! with the PlayStation world via PSN later today.
We made this game to provide quality entertainment for everyone in the household and to showcase fun and innovative uses of the PlayStation Move motion controller. We've put our heart and soul into this collection of wacky mini-games and hope they make you laugh and have as good of a time as we had making them.
To celebrate the launch of Lights, Camera, Party! we decided to shoot a humorous live-action trailer that spoofs the usual party game ads and conveys the silly and chaotic nature of our game.
I'm really proud of our team's work on the Lights, Camera, Party!, and I wanted to give a few members of the team a chance to talk about their favorite mini-games. Enjoy!
Michael Dube, Lead Programmer:
Feed the Monster: Because cooking a pizza over an active volcano has been a lifelong dream! The game is simple and the feedback is really rewarding...
42w ago - Frima Studio Executive Producer Martin Brouard has announced today alongside a video trailer that Lights, Camera, Party will be delivering PlayStation Move fun on August 28th.
To quote: Last year, my team at Frima Studio set out to create the ultimate PlayStation Move party game and in just a few weeks the whole world can enjoy the fruit of our labor on PSN.
Lights, Camera, Party! embodies everything we think a party game should be; fast-paced, funny, quick to set up, social and full of a variety of mini-games, challenges and Trophies for a fresh experience each time you play.
With only one Move controller required to play, it keeps the whole family on their feet and frantically passing the controller between fits of laughter.
You and your friends will step into the shoes of the Funzinis, a family forced to compete in an array of wild game shows to win a new home after the TV station's satellite crash lands in their living room.
In the primary Story mode, up to four players guide the Funzini family through five rounds, each modeled after a type of TV show (Cooking, News, Sci-Fi, and so on) that contain up to 24 fast-paced mini games.
