172w ago - Today NIS America, Inc's PR/Marketing Coordinator Nao Zook has posted a gameplay video of Last Rebellion in action, and revealed that it will be coming to Sony's PS3 entertainment system on February 23, 2010.

To quote: NIS America will release Last Rebellion in a couple of weeks for the PlayStation 3!

Let me go over the basic story of Last Rebellion first. Then I will go on to the battle system. I will be showing our first battle footage, so don't forget to check that out too!

It takes place in a world called Jonovald, which is governed by two gods: Meiktilia who presides over the death of all people and the destruction of all things, and Formival who presides over the birth of all people and the creation of all things.

Meiktilia blesses two types of people with special powers; Blades and Sealers. Blades have the skills to destroy the physical structure of things, and Sealers use magical abilities to destroy the metaphysical, the spiritual structure of things. The two main characters are Nine who is a Blade, and Aisha who is a Sealer.

Formival's power allows all things to revive and when they do, they become a stronger threat to others. These undead creatures are called...

201w ago - NIS and Hitmaker have thrown out some more new screenshots on the upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive role-playing game, Last Rebellion.

To quote: Instead of bringing some more of Nine, the game's male protagonist, into the picture, these screenshots tend to focus more on Aisha, the game's female protagonist.

They don't look half-bad.

Publisher NIS America hopes to release the game by the end of next summer.

210w ago - It appears Trinity Universe isn't the only RPG on the way from Nippon Ichi Software.

NIS America also revealed at their press event that the long-rumored RPG, Last Rebellion, will be coming exclusively to the PlayStation 3.

The game is in development at Hitmaker, the same guys behind the Crazy Taxi games.

Players can roam around the world field and make action movements like in an action game, but once you enter battle, you engage the enemy using a turn-based system. The game features the ability to target different body parts on an enemy to weaken that area (such as hitting their legs to slow them down).

The game revolves around the characters Nine and Aisha. Nine is a Blade, whose specialty is physical attacks, and Aisha is a Sealer, who uses magic spells to attack & seal enemies. Players will be able to switch between the two in battle, strategically choosing which attacks to unleash first.

Last Rebellion is due to release in Fall 2009.

241w ago - Namco Bandai held a special press conference yesterday (just a few days before the Tokyo Game Show), where they went over new and upcoming titles and other special announcements.

One of the announcements was that Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion will be heading to the PLAYSTATION 3 (no word when) and will have MORE content than the arcade version (big surprise!)

IGN was at the event and mentioned in their latest podcast that the PS3 will NOT be getting the regular version of Tekken 6, which was released late 2007 in arcades. More news as we get it!
