15w ago - Today Derek Yu at Mossmouth announced on Sony's blog that Spelunky lands on both PS3 and PS Vita via PSN with details below.
To quote: Spelunky is arriving on PlayStation Store today for PS Vita and PS3. As part of PS Vita Summer Select, PS Plus members will receive 20% off through September 2nd! Yay!
This is Spelunky's PlayStation debut as well as its handheld debut. It also happens to be the first game I've ever released on a handheld, which is personally very exciting, as portable gaming has been such a big part of my life. And I can't think of a better game or system to do this with!
Spelunky has two qualities that make it a great portable experience, in my opinion. On the one hand, it's very much a classic arcade game - challenging, but short.
It may take you a thousand tries to finally beat it, but each run will last under an hour (some only a few seconds!). On the other hand, Spelunky also borrows a lot from roguelikes, like the randomization, freedom of choice, and numerous, surprising possibilities.
The result, I hope, is a game that you will play for years and years on your Vita: on your bed, on the train, and abroad (maybe even in a real cave somewhere?).
19w ago - Pwnee Studios President and Co-Founder Jordan Fisher announced alongside a video trailer that Cloudberry Kingdom lands on PlayStation Network today.
To quote: Take a second and watch the below video. I never watch videos in blog posts - it takes too long and I've been spoiled by GIFs. But seriously, just watch it. None of this post will make sense otherwise.
I needed you to see that before I continued. You see, we've made the hardest, most stupidly ridiculous hardcore game ever. And we're sorry. Kind of.
We even called it a happy name like Cloudberry Kingdom to help ease the pain. But before I actually try apologizing for real, let me take a step back and defend myself.
I'll be making use of the traditional Socratic Straw Man Method for my defense: below, you'll find your unsound critiques highlighted in bold, with my impenetrable defense following. Afterward I may apologize.
Let's start with the first reason for why you're upset. "Being hard for the sake of being hard is stupid, therefore this game is stupid."
Woah. First of all, I Wanna Be The Guy has already proven in my mind that everyone wants a brutally unfair game with invisible spikes and hidden platforms that change location...
38w ago - NIS America Marketing Coordinator Ryan Phillips has announced that Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory lands on PS3 today alongside a video trailer below.

It's time again to join the exuberant and extremely awesome Neptune and her gaggle of CPU goddess buddies for a brand-new adventure in Gamindustri!
For those new to the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, it is a turn-based comedy RPG set in a world called Gamindustri, which is governed by different CPU Goddesses. Each goddess is actually a living and playable personification of the different video game consoles that we all have come to hold dear to our hearts.
As the player, you take the role of the main character, Neptune, and along with a whole slew of strong female counterparts, it's your job to make sure that order reigns supreme in Gamindustri!
So what's putting Gamindustri at risk this time around? Victory begins several years after Neptune's sister Nepgear...

55w ago - Insomniac Games Community Lead James Stevenson has announced today that the Resistance Collection lands on PS3 December 5th.
To quote: This holiday season just got better. Resistance Collection is hitting stores starting December 5th, and it makes a great gift for any shooter fan who hasn't had a chance to experience one of the best FPS trilogies on PS3.
Resistance started as I-8, a return to Insomniac's roots making first-person shooters (Disruptor was our first-ever game on PSOne).
It evolved from a space opera featuring lizard-like aliens into an alternate history World War I shooter, before eventually evolving into the 1950s-era game that launched alongside PS3. Over the three titles, we had an incredible experience developing the Resistance franchise for PlayStation fans.
From Resistance: Fall of Man's 40-player multiplayer, to Resistance 2's 8-player online co-op, to Resistance 3's heroic survival of Joseph Capelli in a brutal world, everyone at Insomniac is incredibly proud of what we accomplished with the Resistance trilogy.
For all of you who haven't had the chance to check them out yet, the trilogy gives you the opportunity to experience them...
