135w ago - Just over a week ago we announced news of Killzone 3 PS3 Beta invites going out, and today some fresh video footage of Mech Gameplay and more has surfaced!

To quote from GamersMint.com (linked above):

GamingBolt.com did comment on some bugs in the KZ3 PS3 Beta though, to quote:

"Since it's a BETA, some bugs have made their presence felt as well. Drop in framerates being a major one, stuff like unable to walk up stairs (0.25), enemies running through you while you try and melee them (1.00) and delay in killing enemies (final few seconds)."

137w ago - Update: According to Gamersmint.com via Aryeh Loeb on the US PS Blog, the Killzone 3 Beta won't support PlayStation Move nor 3D.

To quote: "Will the Beta be in 3D as well? Nope, this is a gameplay test for us. we need to make it as good as it can be.

Move support in beta? Nope, this Beta is all about gameplay. Move and 3D are not supported here."

Guerrilla Games Producer Aryeh Loeb has revealed today that the Killzone 3 PS3 Beta starts on October 25, and shared details on how fans can get in it!

To quote: Yes, the Killzone 3 Public Beta Trial really is coming!

Just like its predecessor, the multiplayer mode for Killzone 3 will be put through rigorous testing at the hands of the toughest, most demanding critics in existence: you, the fans.

The Trial starts on the 25th of October and access is limited, so please read the following instructions carefully if you want to know how to secure a spot in the Public Beta:

146w ago - Update: It appears this rumor is now confirmed as IronStarMovement.com has shared a Killzone 3 PlayStation 3 Beta video (below) for those interested!

Last month we caught a glimpse of Killzone 3 with PlayStation Move, Killzone 3 Cinematic Deaths and Killzone 3 PS3 Controls, and today GamesOnSmash.com (linked above) has hinted that while the PlayStation 3 title isn't due until next February 28th, the Killzone 3 PS3 beta may be coming soon.

To quote: "Early this morning I turned on my console to get a little bit of gaming in and talk to a couple of my online buddies and notice one of my good friends playing Killzone 3.

Now I'm not going to give all the information about his PSN ID or who actually it is playing the game, but for it being so early in the year with the game not coming out till Febuary just makes me wonder.

Could this be sign that there is a Killzone 3...

234w ago - With the Killzone 2 Beta coming to a close this Sunday, we've got one more video up our sleeves to show you, this time taking a look at the many weapons available in the game.

Keep in mind, Guerrilla Games has yet to reveal all the weapons that will be available in the final game, so expect a few more surprises over the next few months.

The video below features guns from the beta, showcasing such weapons as the ISA M4 Revolver, ISA M82-G Assault Rifle, and ISA M13 Semi-automatic Combat Shotgun. Also included in the footage are some scene of environmental destructibility, displaying crumbling concrete columns and more. However the video is not very well synced with the audio.





Killzone 2 is due out in February 2009.
